In a daring action that has sparked widespread conversation, President Donald Trump has demonstrated yet again that he’s not one to shy away from criticism, particularly from those who have built their careers on criticizing him. The most recent episode in the ongoing Trump-Rosie drama unfolded over the weekend as the President used Truth Social to respond directly to his longstanding adversary, Rosie O’Donnell.
Trump has expressed that he is contemplating the withdrawal of her American citizenship, describing her as a “Danger to Humankind” and advising her to remain in Ireland, which has been her residence since leaving the U.S. following his presidential election win.

Trump tweeted early Saturday: “Given that Rosie O’Donnell may not align with our nation’s best interests, I’m contemplating revoking her citizenship. She poses a threat to humanity and it might be beneficial for her to stay in Ireland if they’re willing. God bless America!
O’Donnell, never one to stay silent, fired back on Instagram with her usual venom.
The President of the United States has never liked that I view him as a dishonest, criminal imposter exploiting and deceiving our nation for his own gain,” she stated. “I relocated to Ireland because he is a perilous, soul-less man in the late stages of dementia who lacks empathy, compassion, and fundamental humanity. I firmly oppose everything he stands for, and so do millions of others – will you deport everyone who opposes your malevolent behavior? You’re nothing more than an unfunny joke who can’t string coherent thoughts together.

In her subsequent message, she said, “Hi Donald, it seems you’re troubled once more? After 18 years, I continue to occupy a space in your mind, rent-free, as it were. She also posted a picture of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, presumably to fan the flames further.
This isn’t some new spat— the bad blood between Trump and Rosie goes back nearly two decades.
The events began in December 2006, when on the talk show The View, O’Donnell criticized Trump for granting Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance following her partying controversies. O’Donnell labeled him as a dubious character with questionable morals, satirizing his bankruptcies and private life.

During interviews and statements, Trump countered harshly, referring to her as “disgusting” and a “true failure.” This conflict intensified during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, reaching its height at the first Republican debate when moderator Megyn Kelly probed him about his past remarks concerning women.
Trump’s quip? “Only Rosie O’Donnell.” It drew laughs and cemented the rivalry.
Preserve your sanity as best you can, and avoid getting swept up in the turmoil, if at all possible. However, I understand it’s challenging when you’re right in the thick of it.

From my perspective as a film enthusiast, challenging birthright citizenship, a privilege enshrined by the 14th Amendment, is an uphill battle that surpasses the presidential authority. As Variety aptly points out in their report, “Birthright citizenship, a right that has been put to the test by Trump during his second term, is constitutionally protected under the 14th Amendment and cannot be legally revoked by the president.

It’s quite possible that the president is aware of this matter, and numerous people think his actions on social media were intended to stir up a response, given that one of the biggest feuds in Hollywood is still ongoing, with global repercussions.
