A new report from Puck News indicates that George Miller is seeking funding for another Mad Max film. Warner Bros., which previously distributed the movies, has declined to finance the project, but Amazon, Universal, and Sony Pictures are all interested in taking over. Despite turning 81, Miller intends to direct one last Mad Max movie, followed by a TV series, and then sell the rights to the franchise. Because Miller typically develops the story and writes the script before filming, it seems he already has a complete idea for the next film and a plan for expanding the Mad Max universe onto television.
