With the new TV season starting soon, it was notable that this year’s last episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way featured a cast member making a big promise. However, like many New Year’s resolutions, promises can be broken, and it seems Manon Berryman may have fallen short of hers, despite what she said on the show.

I initially doubted a social media personality would continue working hard once they joined a reality TV show, and it seems I was right. In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Manon talked a lot about her plans, but it’s looking like her move to France might fail professionally, just like her relationship with Anthony did in Los Angeles.

Manon Agreed To Slow Down Her Plans For A Beauty Line After Pleas From Anthony And her Mother

The most recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way showed Manon explaining her strong work ethic to her mother. She shared that her family struggled financially growing up, often worrying about money and basic needs. This experience motivated her to work as much as possible, ensuring she and Anthony would always be able to support their son, Ben, even through difficult times.

Manon’s mother acknowledged her reasoning but shared Anthony’s worries about the beauty line Manon had been developing privately. Starting a business requires a significant time commitment, and her mother pointed out that Manon would be spending less time with her son if she was working or traveling for the business. Manon realized her mother had a point and thought it might be better to slow down and simply enjoy this time with her young son.

I was really happy for Manon, it seemed like a significant step forward for her, particularly after how upset she got after the goat farm incident. But then I discovered her TikTok account and realized she’d actually followed through with her idea for a beauty line, despite everything. She’s actively promoting it while the show is airing, although in one video she claimed she’s trying to manage everything responsibly.

Manon isn’t the only 90 Day Fiancé star to try and turn her reality TV exposure into a business. Many cast members have done the same, and we recently saw Yara Dufren’s business event featured prominently on the latest season of Happily Ever After.

The main difference between this story and Manon’s is that hers focuses on how much she’s working. Even if it’s exaggerated for the show, I doubt many 90 Day viewers will be happy to see her immediately back to work, especially after she just said she’d be taking it easy.

Considering 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way probably filmed months ago, there’s a lot we didn’t see that might explain why Anthony seemed okay with Manon focusing on her beauty business. For example, Jenny and Sumit’s cafe – which they’ve been working on all season – appears to be closed already, showing how quickly things can change. Ultimately, I just hope Manon has found a good balance between work and life, and that Anthony supports her decisions.
