Devil Fruits are a famous part of the One Piece world, shaping its story and battles. These strange fruits give anyone who eats them amazing powers, but with a major drawback: they can no longer swim. Found throughout the dangerous Grand Line, Devil Fruits fall into three types: Paramecia fruits give users abilities that change their body or surroundings; Zoan fruits let users transform into animals or animal-human hybrids; and Logia fruits allow users to become and control natural forces like fire, ice, or smoke.
Devil Fruits are all different, each granting a unique power that never appears twice. This makes them incredibly valuable and a major driving force for many characters, like pirates and marines. While using a Devil Fruit grants amazing abilities, it also comes with a significant cost: the user loses the ability to swim, which is dangerous in a world largely covered by water. Despite this drawback, the immense power they offer makes Devil Fruits highly sought after.
7. Kilo Kilo no Mi (Miss Valentine)

The Kilo Kilo no Mi is a Devil Fruit that lets the user control their weight, ranging from just 1 kilogram to a massive 10,000 kilograms. Miss Valentine, who possesses this fruit, mainly uses it to float and then crash down on opponents with tremendous force. Although it can be used in battle, it’s not particularly impressive when compared to other Devil Fruits, and doesn’t offer a lot of exciting possibilities.
This fruit is unusual because of its very specific weight. While controlling weight could have been used in many impressive ways – like controlling gravity or moving things around – the Kilo Kilo no Mi feels like a missed chance. It’s a curious ability, but ultimately isn’t very useful or memorable.
6. Sube Sube no Mi (Alvida)

The Sube Sube no Mi is a Devil Fruit that makes the user’s body extremely slippery. This allows attacks to simply slide off, providing immunity to physical harm. Interestingly, it also gives the user incredibly smooth skin and dramatically improves their appearance. A prime example is Alvida, whose transformation into a beautiful woman after eating the fruit is a well-remembered moment in the anime and manga, One Piece.
This fruit is unusual because its main ability – making things incredibly slippery – isn’t directly useful in a fight. It offers some protection, but relying on smoothness for invincibility is pretty comical. It’s a very strange Devil Fruit, and while it has a certain appeal, it’s not versatile enough to be a major threat in most battles.
5. Hito Hito no Mi (Chopper)

The Hito Hito no Mi, or Human-Human Fruit, grants the ability to think and act like a human. Tony Tony Chopper, a reindeer, ate this fruit and became a fully conscious, talking creature with amazing medical skills. Interestingly, this raises a question: what would happen if a human ate the fruit? They wouldn’t gain any new abilities, making it one of the few Devil Fruits that are useless for certain people.
What makes this fruit so unusual is how simple it is. Most Zoan fruits let you transform into animals, but the Hito Hito no Mi isn’t very impressive unless someone who isn’t human eats it. Despite this, it’s actually quite charming because of Chopper’s intelligence and how cleverly he uses Rumble Balls, turning a potentially weak ability into something incredibly useful.
4. Baku Baku no Mi (Wapol)

The Baku Baku no Mi is a strange Devil Fruit that lets the user eat absolutely anything – and absorb it into their own body. Wapol, who has this fruit, takes it to an extreme, eating things like weapons, metal, and even people to gain their qualities. It’s a pretty unsettling power, leaving Wapol as a bizarre combination of everything he’s consumed.
This fruit is included because it’s genuinely disturbing and bizarre. The concept of eating things to change your body is both imaginative and frightening. Although the user, Wapol, isn’t a very strong villain, the fruit’s originality and unsettling possibilities make it one of the most peculiar abilities in One Piece.
3. Beri Beri no Mi (Very Good)

The Beri Beri Fruit lets the user break their body apart into controllable spheres. While turning into bouncing balls sounds silly, it doesn’t seem like a very powerful ability. And the current user, Very Good, isn’t showcasing its potential with his weak fighting skills.
This fruit is definitely one of the strangest in the series, seemingly existing just for the sake of being odd. While it’s funny, the Beri Beri no Mi really shows how One Piece isn’t afraid to get weird. However, it’s not very useful in a fight, making it more of a quirky gag than a powerful ability.
2. Guru Guru no Mi (Buffalo)

The Guru Guru no Mi is a Devil Fruit that lets its user spin any body part incredibly fast, essentially turning them into a living propeller. Buffalo, who ate this fruit, mostly uses it to fly and deliver powerful spinning attacks. While it can be useful, it’s definitely one of the strangest abilities seen in the series.
This fruit is unusual because of how incredibly specific its power is. While the idea of turning into a human helicopter sounds funny, it’s difficult to see this ability being genuinely useful. Its silly look and limited practicality make it one of the weirdest Devil Fruits, and that’s saying something in a world full of strange powers.
1. Jake Jake no Mi (Kelly Funk)

The Jake Jake Fruit lets the user turn into a jacket. When someone wears the jacket, the user gains control of that person’s body and boosts their fighting skills. Kelly Funk often uses this fruit with his brother, Bobby Funk, creating an unusual and unpredictable fighting team.
This Devil Fruit is easily the most bizarre. The concept of transforming into a jacket and needing another person to unleash its power is both funny and incredibly inconvenient. Though it could be useful in specific scenarios, it’s a really unusual and situational ability. It’s a perfect example of the quirky humor and imagination that makes One Piece so unique, and that’s why it stands out as the strangest Devil Fruit in the whole series.
