Prime Video has added a lot of new content, including all 12 seasons of a popular crime drama – over 200 episodes! The new additions, which arrived on January 1st, also include movies like Final Destination: Bloodlines and several Mission Impossible films, giving subscribers plenty to watch.
Starting January 1st, you can now watch all twelve seasons of Chicago P.D. on Prime Video. Created by Dick Wolf as part of the One Chicago series on NBC, the show follows the detectives of the 21st District as they tackle Chicago’s toughest crimes, including drug trafficking, organized crime, and high-profile murder cases. Chicago P.D. became available on Prime Video shortly after its most recent season finale in November, and new episodes will return on January 7th.
The One Chicago Franchise Is One of the Most Successful TV Franchises
For over ten years, the One Chicago series have been a major force on television, shaping NBC’s prime-time schedule since Chicago Fire premiered in 2012. The franchise has expanded to include Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med, and all three shows consistently attract large audiences, making them NBC’s most popular scripted dramas—especially when they team up for special crossover events. This success has also boosted the career of Dick Wolf, the creator. Chicago P.D., in particular, has repeatedly proven its popularity as a compelling police drama.
With a consistently high audience score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, Chicago P.D. stands out as a top-tier crime drama. Unlike some procedural shows, it offers a gritty and realistic portrayal of police work, delving into the complex ethical dilemmas officers face. The series explores the blurred lines between right and wrong, particularly through the actions of Hank Voight and the show’s morally complex characters. This, combined with compelling character relationships and personal stories, adds emotional weight to each case and makes Chicago P.D. incredibly engaging.
Where To Stream Chicago P.D. Season 13?
You can currently stream the first twelve seasons of Chicago P.D. on Prime Video. Season 13 is still broadcasting, so it’s not yet available there. However, if you want to watch the latest episodes, they’re available on Peacock the day after they air on NBC. The first seven episodes of Season 13 are already on Peacock, and new episodes will continue to be added the day after they premiere on NBC, with the season returning on January 7th.
