The exciting digging-themed video game “Mashina” is set to debut on PC via Steam on July 31, according to the announcement made by developers Talha & Jack Co.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
The game titled “Mashina” is an intriguing digging expedition developed by the creators of Judero. In this game, you control Mashina, a cheerful mining robot whose mission involves locating minerals to aid in repairing, constructing, and nurturing the peculiar community of robots.
Gameplay
In the game Mashina, gameplay is split into two unique areas: an intriguing, labyrinthine subterranean realm rich in relics and ores, and a lively, expansive 3D outdoor environment that invites exploration.
Underground
A lot of the game will be spent exploring, discovering, and reclaiming the underground world.
- Use your radar to scope out objects of interest.
- Dig to excavate rare minerals.
- Store the rare minerals safely in Mashina’s backpack.
- Deposit those minerals in your underground base.
- Build helpful machines to aid your excavations.
- Find robot pals, treasures, trinkets and more.
- Explore the underground and discover an adventure waiting to happen.
Overground
- Meet locals and get missions.
- Upgrade your equipment.
- Decorate your surroundings.
- Explore and find collectables and secrets.
Art Style
In Mashina, every detail is meticulously crafted with diverse materials and brought to life through classic stop-motion animation methods. Subsequently, these animations are transformed into textured models and sprites suitable for gaming purposes, complete with normal maps that enable realistic dynamic lighting and shadow effects.
Music and Sound
At Mashina, music plays a significant role in our creative process. We’re crafting an extensive soundtrack rich with retro synth sounds, aiming to create a divine sonic landscape that’s both relaxing and captivating. All our sound effects are also produced using vintage synths, ensuring the score maintains its unique, nostalgic feel.
As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that every one of our robots comes with top-notch voice acting, provided by exceptionally skilled individuals hailing from the vast expanse of the gaming universe and beyond.
