After experiencing several setbacks, Weta Workshop’s “Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game” is now scheduled to release on July 29th. The game appears to be progressing smoothly as its Steam page has recently been updated with minimum and recommended system requirements for PC gamers.
To put it simply, these requirements aren’t overly demanding, but they do have some ground rules. At the least, you’ll need either an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 for the processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 (4 GB), AMD Radeon R9 270X (4 GB), or Intel Arc A580 (8 GB). With these specs, you can run the game at 1080p/30 FPS on Very Low settings.
To ensure optimal performance, the suggested specifications call for a Core i5-10600 or Ryzen 5 8400F CPU, 16GB of RAM, and either a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB) or Radeon RX 6750 XT (12 GB) graphics card for smooth gameplay at 1080p/60 FPS on high settings. As for higher resolutions like 1440p and 4K, the necessary requirements have yet to be disclosed. However, one positive point is that only a meager 3GB of storage space is needed for installation.
The game “Tales from the Shire: The Lord of the Rings” will soon be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye out for further announcements in the upcoming weeks.
