HBO and HBO Max are known for producing high-quality, popular TV shows. Series like Game of Thrones, Succession, and The Last of Us have won numerous awards, received excellent reviews, and become major talking points. They plan to continue this success with even more new shows through 2026. And as HBO Max releases its latest content, including new shows planned for January 2026, one of their most popular series is returning after a short break.
The financial drama Industry is back for its fourth season on January 11th at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max. That’s a fast return after the third season ended in September 2024, quicker than most shows on HBO. The series follows young graduates as they start their careers at the competitive London investment bank, Pierpoint & Co. This season, the Pierpoint team gets caught up in a thrilling, international chase while also dealing with their personal lives – relationships, friendships, and everything in between. Starring Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, Sagar Radia, and Ken Leung, Season 4 will have eight episodes released weekly on Sundays.
Industry Is One of HBO Max’s Best Shows, and It’s Already a Streaming Hit
The TV series Industry has consistently received positive reviews, averaging a 90% score from critics and a 71% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have called it one of the best shows on television, praising its exciting and captivating storylines. The show offers a thrilling and tense look into the competitive world of high finance, focusing on complex and flawed characters. With its fast-paced plot, clever writing, and dramatic power struggles, Industry is a truly binge-worthy experience that quickly draws viewers in and keeps them hooked.
Although critics haven’t released their reviews for Season 4 yet and audience scores aren’t available, Industry is already popular on streaming platforms. The show returned to the Top 10 on HBO Max worldwide just before the Season 4 premiere and has stayed there since December 31st. It’s quickly climbing the charts, now appearing alongside other popular shows like It: Welcome to Derry, The Pitt (which also returned in January 2026), The Seduction, and I Love LA. Considering how good Industry is, it’s likely to continue gaining popularity, though it remains to be seen if it will reach the number one spot.
Will There Be an Industry Season 5?
Whether there will be a Season 5 of Industry is still uncertain. HBO hasn’t officially approved it yet, and any announcement probably won’t come for a while. In fact, Season 4 wasn’t announced until just before the Season 3 finale. However, the show’s chances look good because the creators, Down and Kay, signed a new three-year contract with HBO in fall 2024.
Season 4 of Industry premieres January 11th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on HBO and HBO Max. Each new episode will be released every Sunday.
