Jason Isaacs Feels “Pure Jealousy” Over White Lotus Season 4 Location

Jason Isaacs is daydreaming about his character’s passport.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what happened at the Golden Globes! I was there, and I saw him – Richard Etzioni, the amazing Timothy Ratliff from The White Lotus! He’s 62, can you believe it, he doesn’t look a day over 50! Anyway, someone asked him about Season 4 being filmed in France, and he actually told us what he really thought. I was practically dying – getting his honest reaction was everything!

Honestly, it’s pure jealousy! I heard Jason say in an interview that getting to France for the next season is so much easier for those involved – he can even take a train! But he admitted he’s really envious because some of his friends are going to be part of it, and he knows they’re going to have an amazing experience. He’s a huge fan of Mike White, the creator, and thinks nobody writes or directs like him. I totally get it – it sounds incredible, and I’m so excited for everyone involved!

The actor, known for his role in Harry Potter, will never forget Timothy’s disastrous trip to Thailand. It nearly resulted in him accidentally poisoning his wife, Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey), and their children – Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Piper (SarahCatherine Hook), and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) – as he struggled with money problems.

Jason’s excellent work led to multiple award nominations, including one for Best Supporting Actor in a Television series at the Golden Globes.

Now that his time on The White Lotus is over, he’s thankful for the experiences he had at the resort—and happy to have survived without any disastrous consequences.

He described it as a wonderful experience. He praised Mike White as an incredibly talented writer and said being associated with him led to unexpected success, like receiving award nominations – something he felt was simply due to good fortune.

Jason’s comments come after HBO announced that Alexander Ludwig, known from The Hunger Games, and AJ Michalka of Aly & AJ will be part of the next season. The network also shared that, like previous seasons, this installment will focus on a new set of guests and staff at the White Lotus hotel over the course of a week – a format that’s been popular with viewers since the show began in 2021.

The show’s director has one specific request for the resort’s plans: they don’t want any characters to die while near or in the water.

Mike mentioned in an interview last April that he’s hoping to move away from the show’s typically dramatic and intense style for the fourth season. However, he also joked that there will still be plenty of mysterious deaths happening at the White Lotus resorts.

Nonetheless, Jason is excited to see this next installment come to life.

According to a December interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star of Peter Pan said Mike reached out this morning with news that pre-production on the next film is already well underway, including scouting locations and casting. Like many fans, they’re eager to see it.
