Physical Purists Won’t Be Pleased by New Life Is Strange PS5 Collection

Square Enix announced that they will sell a physical PlayStation 5 bundle containing all previously released Life is Strange games, priced at $60 and set to release on October 2, 2025. You can pre-order this collection right now through the Square Enix Store website.

With all games and DLC included, the physical Life Is Strange Collection release contains:

  • Life Is Strange Remastered
  • Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered
  • Life Is Strange 2
  • Life Is Strange: True Colors Deluxe Edition
  • Life Is Strange: Double Exposure Ultimate Edition

In this package, you’ll find True Colors and Double Exposure directly on the disc. The remaining contents, which will be redeemed digitally, can be accessed through a PlayStation Store code that comes with the box. Some publishers have recently started to label physical releases as including more digital content than what’s actually on the disc itself.

Microsoft’s adaptations of Xbox games for PS5 have been notorious lately, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as DOOM: The Dark Ages, only offering a tiny portion of the data needed to play the original game from the physical discs. Given the announcement of an Oblivion Remastered physical edition yesterday, there’s concern among potential buyers whether this Bethesda remake will face the same issue.

When it comes to the latest Life Is Strange Collection, you’ll find that just two out of the five games are physically on the disc. The remaining three games need to be downloaded using the code provided within the PlayStation 5 case.
