Alice Forever After #2 Takes The Iconic Fairy Tale Into It’s Darkest Chapter Yet in New First Look (Exclusive)

It’s always interesting when familiar stories get a dark and unexpected twist. Reimagining classic fairy tales and myths can add new depth to stories we think we know, offering a fresh perspective and sometimes creating a whole new favorite. That’s what happened with Alice Ever After by Dan Panosian and Giorgio Spalletta a few years ago, their darker take on Alice in Wonderland. Now, they’re continuing the story with Alice Forever After, published by BOOM! Studios, and ComicBook is giving readers a first look at the second issue of this haunting new series, promising another journey down the rabbit hole.

In Alice Forever After, Alice faces her greatest challenge yet: her own history. It’s been years since she returned from Wonderland and she’s now happily raising her inquisitive daughter, Evelyn. But Wonderland isn’t the magical place it once was – it’s falling apart. A bitter Cheshire Cat searches for a solution, but this time, Alice isn’t the answer. With the clock ticking, Alice must revisit her past adventures to save Evelyn. The first issue is available now, and early previews suggest the series will be a wild and exciting journey.

The Mad Hatter Has a Dark Confrontation in Alice Forever After #2








The show’s description reveals the Cheshire Cat is angry and targeting Evelyn, immediately raising the tension. But the preview images show the danger extends beyond Alice and Evelyn – the Cheshire Cat also seems to be threatening the Mad Hatter. It appears the Cat tasked the Hatter with finding Alice, but he didn’t succeed. This failure, however, leads to a major discovery that completely alters the entire plan.

In the second issue of BOOM! Studios’ Alice Forever After, Alice and her daughter face increasing danger as the lines between reality and Wonderland blur. Alice is falling under her father’s control, causing inner turmoil and putting her family – and especially Evelyn – at risk. Evelyn’s powerful imagination is becoming a gateway to Wonderland, making her central to its fate. The Cheshire Cat’s growing influence threatens both worlds with destruction. As a sinister plot unfolds, Alice and Evelyn may be closer to disaster than they think, and time is quickly running out in this dark reimagining of the classic fairy tale, brought to life by creators Dan Panosian and Giorgio Spalletta.
