MCU Weekend Post-Credits: Doomsday Teaser #4, A Major MCU Poster, And More

  • Avengers: Doomsday Teaser #4: Black Panther/Fantastic Four — The fourth Avengers: Doomsday trailer was recently released, giving us our first look at the Wakandans, Namor in a new costume, and a first meeting between King M’Baku and The Thing.
  • Live Doomsday Clock Officially Released — Marvel Studios released a live Doomsday Clock on YouTube, counting down to the film’s release while also thanking fans with the reveal that all four Doomsday teasers collectively gained over a billion views.
  • Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey Confirmed For Avengers: Doomsday? — Legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont claims that Famke Janssen will be returning as Jean Grey in Doomsday. Having previously confirmed Chris Evans’ return as Steve Rogers well before it was officially revealed by Marvel Studios, there is some credibility there.
  • New Simu Liu Doomsday Comments About Shang-Chi’s Evolution — Simu Liu has teased a greater level of confidence for Shang-Chi in the years that have followed since 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, teasing an exciting evolution for the popular MCU hero in Avengers: Doomsday.
  • Vision Quest To Include Major Themes Of Fatherhood — Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum recently confirmed in an interview with The Official Marvel Podcast that 2026’s Vision Quest series will feature strong themes of fatherhood, mirroring Agatha All Along’s themes of motherhood and the WandaVision trilogy’s overarching themes of parenthood in general.
  • Official MCU Poster Released With Large Hero Roster — A new official MCU poster was released in Tokyo featuring a wide roster of current heroes. While not expressly tied to either Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, it’s still our best look yet at what a full ensemble of heroes might look like.

  • Sebastian Stan Rumored To Be Playing Two-Face In The Batman Part II — Following the news that Sebastian Stan has joined the cast of The Batman – Part II, new reports have come out that Stan will most likely be playing Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.
  • James Gunn Confirms Mister Miracle To Be Set In The DCU — James Gunn has confirmed that the upcoming animated series Mister Miracle will indeed be set in the DCU. It’s also been confirmed that characters like Darkseid and Orion will be featured in the show as well.
  • James Gunn Gives Creature Commandos Season 2 Update — Gunn also confirmed this last week that Creature Commandos season 2 is indeed in production and is currently being animated.
  • Smallville Becomes A Major Streaming Hit — It was also revealed this last week that the Superman prequel series Smallville has become a major streaming hit, igniting further calls for a revival and/or Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling’s pitch for an animated series to be greenlit.
