Taylor Sheridan’s series Landman has finished its second season, but viewers can rest easy knowing the show will return for more on Paramount+.
Fans will be happy to hear that a third season has been confirmed for December 2025! Season two left viewers on the edge of their seats, showing Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, and his family planning to launch their own oil business, CTT Oil Exploration.
There’s been recent speculation about Thornton potentially leaving the show, but he’s dismissed it as completely false, calling the rumors “AI-generated nonsense.”
In an interview with USA Today, Ashton Kutcher addressed some false stories circulating online. He said that reports claiming he and Demi Moore are dating, and that he’s leaving a TV show, are completely untrue.
Thornton has confirmed he’ll return for season three, and he especially enjoyed collaborating with Sam Elliott, who joined the cast in season two as his character’s father, TL.
He shared that he’s really enjoyed working with Sam and loves being part of the show. He plans to continue as long as the show is running, whether that’s for five years or even six.
The film features Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Miriam Silverman, alongside Thornton, Moore, and Elliott.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after the season 2 finale aired, actor Forrie J. Smith mentioned that Taylor Sheridan doesn’t share much about future storylines. However, Smith believes he has a good idea of what to expect in season 3, and how it might differ from the first two seasons.
He speculated that the third season might blend elements of the first two, potentially bringing back the initial danger while still focusing on the characters’ relationships. He emphasized this was just a hunch.
