007: First Light gets Xbox Play Anywhere support — allowing cross-saves and cross-buy allowance across the Xbox ecosystem

After a ten-year gap since the last James Bond game, a new title called 007: First Light is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (through Windows and Steam) on May 27, 2026.

IO Interactive, the team behind the upcoming game 007: Fight Light, announced on X that it will be available on Xbox Play Anywhere when it launches in May. This is good news for Xbox fans who were disappointed to learn the game had been delayed from its original March release.

Xbox Play Anywhere is a popular feature that lets you buy a digital game just once and play it on both your Xbox console and your Windows PC, without needing to buy it twice.

If you purchase a game digitally for your Xbox Series X|S, you can also play it on your Windows PC through the Microsoft Store without needing to buy a separate PC copy.

Xbox Play Anywhere also lets you pick up and play your games where you left off on different Xbox consoles or devices like the Xbox Ally X. Your saved progress is stored in the cloud, so you can easily continue playing on whatever Xbox you’re using.
