Kim Kardashian is a big fan of Taylor Swift! Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, playfully asked if people would be surprised to learn Kim listens to Taylor’s music, and Kim confirmed she has a lot of respect for the singer.

You know, I’ve always been a fan of Taylor Swift’s work. I actually have a few of her older songs on my playlist – I’ve always thought she was just a genuinely super talented and amazing artist.

The Kardashian star, who has four children – North (12), Saint (10), Chicago (8), and Psalm (6) – with her ex-husband Kanye West, explained her fondness for Taylor Swift’s older songs by saying, “I’m a big fan of country music.”

It’s taken a while for Taylor Swift and Kanye West to reach a point of musical peace. Their complicated history began with the well-known incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, but things really worsened in 2016. Kim Kardashian West released a recording of a phone call between her then-husband, Kanye, and Taylor, suggesting Taylor had given her approval for controversial lyrics in Kanye’s 2016 song, “Famous.”

During the phone call, it appears Taylor agreed to the lines, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bh famous.” However, Taylor has denied this, stating she’d never fully heard the song or its explicit lyrics. A video of the entire conversation released four years later supported Taylor’s claim that the 2016 leak was a manipulated, shortened version of the original.

After the complete phone conversation between Taylor Swift and Kanye West was made public, Kim Kardashian—who divorced West in 2021—began working to defend her reputation.

In March 2020, Kim Kardashian posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Taylor Swift was bringing up a past disagreement at a particularly insensitive time, given the widespread suffering happening in the world. Kardashian said she’d initially avoided responding, and was even embarrassed to address it, but felt compelled to do so because Swift was, in her view, being dishonest about the situation.

Look, as a longtime fan, what bothered me the most wasn’t the song itself, it was the dishonesty surrounding it. Taylor’s team publicly claimed Kanye never even asked for permission to use her name – but we all knew they’d spoken, and I shared the proof. No one ever disputed that the word in question was used without her okay, just that Kanye hadn’t reached out first. That’s what felt really unfair.

Taylor, who is engaged to Travis Kelce, believed her reputation had already suffered. She had previously spoken about a difficult time in her life.

In a December 2023 interview with TIME, she claimed that Kim Kardashian edited an illegally recorded phone call and released it to portray her as a liar. She stated this deeply affected her mental health, pushing her into a previously unknown state of distress.

She explained that after moving abroad, she spent a year isolating herself, avoiding even phone calls. She’d lost trust in people and essentially cut herself off from her support network, leading to a very difficult time.

The Grammy-winning artist believed the scandal would ruin her career, stating, “I lost my career because of this.”

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered Topher Grace, known from “That ’70s Show,” to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a “rude, rude, rude, rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art of her band, Hole, for a promotional photo without proper acknowledgement. Olivia responded with a simple, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Tyrese admitted he mistakenly voiced frustrations on behalf of others involved with the franchise. ‘I was the only one who spoke out publicly, and that was my mistake,’ he said. ‘It wasn’t professional or appropriate.’

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, with some believing their conflict even inspired Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The disagreement, which supposedly began due to a dispute over a dancer and rivalry during concert tours, ended when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.

I was so surprised when I walked into my dressing room and there was a real olive branch waiting for me! It honestly meant the world to me.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve definitely followed the story of Kanye and Taylor’s relationship, and it’s been quite a ride! It all began back in 2009 at the VMAs, when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech – a moment everyone remembers. They actually managed to patch things up and become friends over the years, which was lovely to see. Unfortunately, that friendship hit a major snag in 2026 with the release of Kanye’s song ‘Famous,’ where he specifically mentioned Taylor in the lyrics, and things haven’t been the same since.

Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift hasn’t publicly acknowledged it.

The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about other singers, and when asked about Jennifer, she famously said, “I don’t know her.”
