PlayStation Plus Makes 2024 RPG That Takes Over 100 Hours to Complete Free for Limited Time

As a PlayStation fan, I’m really excited that Sony is giving away a massive RPG for free with PlayStation Plus! It’s a huge game – you can easily spend over 100 hours playing it. It’s available if you’re on the Extra or Premium tiers of PS Plus. And the best part? They haven’t forgotten about PS4 owners! If you’re still rocking a PS4, you can download it too, and apparently, a lot of us still are!

We’re not sure exactly how long Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be available on PS Plus Extra and Premium, but games are typically offered for either 12 or 24 months. For now, though, it’s included with these PlayStation Plus subscription tiers.

A 2024 RPG With Lots of Content

Released in 2024 by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the ninth major game in the Like a Dragon series – formerly known as Yakuza. While it’s the ninth installment, you can enjoy it as a fresh start, even if you’re new to the series. Fans of previous games, especially 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will find familiar faces and references. The game has also been expanded with a spin-off title, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which came out last year.

When it launched, the RPG received scores between 89 and 92 on Metacritic, making it one of the best-reviewed games of the year and a standout RPG for its console generation.

This new free RPG on PlayStation Plus is massive! You can expect to spend 50 to 60 hours just to finish the main story, and around 70 hours if you explore the major side quests. If you’re a completionist, aiming to do absolutely everything, it will take between 110 and 120 hours. It’s the longest and most content-rich game offered on PlayStation Plus this year, although Darkest Dungeon II, also recently added, is a close contender.
