Sony’s KPop Demon Hunters became a huge hit in 2025, despite a surprising lack of merchandise when it first came out. It’s rare for a blockbuster movie to have so few toys and collectibles available initially, but thankfully, the HUNTR/X line is now starting to arrive. A particularly unexpected and delightful addition to the collection is a collaboration with American Girl, bringing the film’s main characters to life as American Girl dolls.
The new HUNTR/X American Girl dolls – Rumi, Mira, and Zoey – feel like they belong in the classic line, though they cost $165 each. They’re designed to look like members of a popular K-pop group, with details like realistic-looking leather, zippers, and metal buckles. What makes these dolls unique is that each comes with weapons for fighting demons: Rumi has a sword, Mira a curved blade, and Zoey knives. Some fans have even wondered if they’re the first American Girl dolls to come with weapons – and many think that’s a great thing!
Fans of the HUNTR/X dolls can now pre-order them on the American Girl website, and they will be delivered starting November 27th.

American Girl’s Other Pop Culture Collaborations
Okay, so Wicked: For Good didn’t exactly blow everyone away at the box office, but it’s still a massively popular musical – so it felt natural that American Girl would team up with it. They released two dolls, one of Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba and one of Ariana Grande’s Glinda, which were super cool. And for fans who really wanted to dive in, they even made two pajama sets so you could recreate the iconic “Popular” scene – honestly, the best part of the movie! Sadly, everything’s sold out on the American Girl site itself. But if you’re a dedicated collector and don’t mind spending some money – I’m talking around $500 – you can still find the dolls on resale sites like eBay. The pajamas are a little harder to track down, though!

Last year, American Girl partnered with the movie Clueless to create outfits inspired by the characters Cher and Dionne. This brought a fun 90s style to the dolls’ typically historical clothing. Cher’s outfit includes her famous yellow skirt and jacket, complete with a small cellphone – a must-have accessory for 90s teens! Dionne’s black and white look features a stylish white hat with a black ribbon and red flower. While Cher’s outfit is currently sold out on the American Girl website (but available on eBay for around $150), you can still purchase Dionne’s outfit on the site for a reduced price of $56, down from $80. If you love the 90s and collect these dolls, now is a great time to buy!

American Girl is starting to partner with popular brands, which is exciting! It opens the door for some really unique dolls – I’m hoping for something unexpected, like a collaboration with Transformers or even a She-Ra doll. That’s what I’m really wishing for!
