Following the contentious termination of “The Wheel of Time” series on Amazon Prime Video, an enthusiastic appeal from fans asking for its reinstatement on the platform or adoption by another streaming service has reached a significant milestone.
As an ardent cinephile, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as over 200,000 fellow fans have rallied together in support of reviving the captivating fantasy series adapted from Robert Jordan’s novels. The cancellation after its third season has left us yearning for more, and we’re not giving up without a fight!
The petition is aimed at Sony Pictures Television, Amazon Prime Video, and other streaming platforms, emphasizing the show’s positive critical reviews, enthusiastic audience response, and alleged high viewership numbers.
It also praises the show’s dedication to diversity and inclusion, and its loyal fan base.
As reported by Deadline, it was decided that Prime Video wouldn’t renew the series after careful consideration over a long period, with financial factors apparently playing a significant role in the decision.
Following the cancellation, cast and crew behind the scenes of the show have weighed in.

In simpler terms, Showrunner Rafe Judkins expressed a hopeful plea that the series might carry on somewhere else, as conveyed through a detailed statement.
A portion of his words implied: “I am confident that we can navigate this phase of the business, and eventually return to our core strength – creating captivating characters for viewers to enjoy in their homes and daily lives each week.
It seems unlikely that The Wheel of Time will continue its story on a different network; such occurrences are relatively rare.
Indeed, it’s not uncommon. Intriguingly, one of the factors that initially attracted us to Amazon was their decision to continue “The Expanse” series when SYFY decided to end it.
Could it be that The Wheel of Time TV show will, just like the books, challenge the conventional notions of ‘start’ and ‘end’ from the very beginning? I truly hope it does – for the sake of this beloved series and its passionate fanbase who eagerly await a satisfying conclusion.
Actors such as Rosamund Pike (Moiraine Damodred), Josha Stradowski (Rand al’Thor), and Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere), who have also voiced their opinions about the cancellation, are included in the cast.
Meanwhile, you can stream seasons 1-3 of The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime Video.
