The Hopper trailer has landed in our email, and in its initial scenes, it acknowledges drawing inspiration from Avatar. Nevertheless, the footage appears captivatingly entertaining, sparking our curiosity about this upcoming project.
The movie presents a character named Mabel, voiced by Piper Curda, who is passionately fond of animals. Eager to explore, she leaps at the chance – or rather, scampers might be more fitting here – to test out innovative technology enabling her to converse with creatures in an unprecedented manner. In the movie “Hoppers,” researchers have found a method to transfer human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, making it possible for people to communicate with animals directly as their animal counterparts! With this newfound ability, Mabel (Curda) will delve into secrets hidden within the animal kingdom that surpass anything she could have dreamt of.
In the upcoming film directed by Pixar’s Daniel Chong, the protagonist Mabel embarks on an extraordinary journey, exploring the animal kingdom from an animal’s perspective. This unique experience is both bizarre and amusing at times. With Mabel disguised as an animal, the movie promises a thrilling, high-speed adventure reminiscent of a wild roller coaster ride. As always with Pixar, you can expect a heartwarming tale filled with emotion. I’m excited for audiences to experience this cinematic joy when it hits theaters; I can hardly wait!
“Hoppers” also features the voices of Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm.
Hoppers hits cinemas on 6th March 2026
