A sequel to cult PS3 character action game Lollipop Chainsaw looks likely.
The game development company responsible for remastering RePop on PlayStation 5, Dragami Games, has recently entered into a partnership with Taiwanese investment firm, Nada Holdings, to collaborate on several upcoming projects within the franchise.
Shohei Sato, the dev’s president, revealed the following in a statement:
More than a decade ago, our initial team put their heart and imagination into producing Lollipop Chainsaw. Since then, this game has received overwhelming adoration and backing from fans. We are incredibly thankful for this, as it touches us deeply. To broaden the scope of this franchise and fulfill the desires of our supporters, Dragami Games has made a significant step towards advancing the intellectual property development for Lollipop Chainsaw.
Joe Teng from Nada Holdings stated that they are dedicated to aiding Dragami Games in the development of various new product offerings.
In the year 2022, Dragami Games came into existence as a spin-off from Kadokawa, carrying valuable assets such as Lollipop Chainsaw along with it.
However, the revamped version of RePop failed to make a strong debut, launching in a disorganized and incomplete manner on PlayStation 5.

Even though Lollipop Chainsaw remains a sidesplitting game, it’s a wildly absurd and fittingly entertaining release that merits being played on contemporary systems. However, given the exceptional original content, a remaster should aim for excellence instead of just being satisfactory.
Since then, subsequent fixes and enhancements have significantly improved the title, making it a good choice for acquisition now.
We hope that any subsequent sequels are handled with a little more care.
