HBO Max has finally confirmed a UK and Ireland launch date – and there isn’t too long to wait.
The streaming service, already popular in the US and more than 110 other countries, will become available in the UK and Ireland on March 26th, 2026.
As a movie and TV buff, I’m really excited about this new streaming service! It’s not just going to have everything from HBO, but also a ton of great stuff from Warner Bros. Pictures and Television, plus all the DC movies and shows. And get this – the entire first season of ‘The Pitt,’ which everyone’s been raving about, will be available to binge-watch right from the start!
Awarded five Primetime Emmys, including the prestigious Outstanding Drama Series in 2025, The Pitt is a highly acclaimed series that realistically portrays the challenges and personal struggles faced by doctors and nurses at a hospital in Pittsburgh.
New episodes of The Pitt’s second season will become available each week after the platform launches in the UK.

In late 2026, the platform will debut the next seasons of popular shows like Euphoria and House of the Dragon, plus the new Harry Potter television series and a fresh drama from DC Studios called Lanterns.
HBO Max will feature several popular movies, such as Superman, One Battle After Another, Sinners, the Minecraft movie, and the first Dune film.
You’ll have access to a huge selection of shows and episodes from HBO and Warner Bros. Television, including complete seasons of popular titles like Succession, Friends, The Sopranos, and Game of Thrones.
In the UK, people with a TNT Sports streaming subscription will also be able to watch it through HBO Max starting at launch.

We’re offering four different streaming plans. The basic plan, which includes ads, starts at just £4.99 a month. A standard plan with ads is available for £5.99.
You can also get the same level of access for £9.99 without ads, or upgrade to our premium package for £14.99 a month.
JB Perrette, head of Global Streaming and Games at Warner Bros. Discovery, announced that after years of entertaining viewers in the UK and Ireland, they’re excited to combine all their popular content on HBO Max and make it available to everyone.
Andrew Georgiou, head of Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland and Sports Europe, announced the launch of HBO Max in the UK & Ireland as a major step forward for local viewers. The service will combine popular series and films from HBO, Warner Bros., and DC with live and on-demand sports from TNT Sports, all in one place and offering excellent value.
You won’t find all of these shows and series – including The Pitt, House of the Dragon, Euphoria, Lanterns, Superman, One Battle After Another, and the new Harry Potter series – in one place anywhere else.
