Lady Gaga has nothing but gratitude for Bad Bunny.
Just hours after joining Bad Bunny on stage during his 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, the singer of “Abracadabra” publicly thanked the Puerto Rican artist (whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) for including her in his groundbreaking performance.
On February 9th, she expressed her gratitude to Benito via Instagram, writing, “Thank you for letting me be a part of such a moving and impactful performance. I’m truly honored to share this moment with you, especially because of your kind spirit and wonderful music.”
Lady Gaga, known for her role in Star Is Born, performed a Latin-infused version of her song with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.” She also took a moment to acknowledge other talented performers at the show, like Ricky Martin, and to thank her stylists.
She sent her love to Benito, Ricky, and everyone involved in the production. She also thanked stylists @chloeandchenelle and designer @luar, saying their skill and dedication brought her stunning dress to life.
Lady Gaga, 39, looked fantastic in a flowing, light blue dress that reached her ankles, paired with red heels and a pin of Puerto Rico’s national flower. She and Bad Bunny, 31, surprised the audience with a lively salsa dance performance together during the show.
This performance included several nods to Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican heritage. Beyond this specific segment, he showcased the culture by starting the show surrounded by sugarcane fields, featuring a domino game with local elders, depicting children napping at parties, and highlighting the popular treat of piragua.

The artist known as “DtMF” gave a memorable performance, even standing on top of an electrical pole to highlight the issues with Puerto Rico’s power system. He finished by saying “God Bless America” and then enthusiastically acknowledged every country in North, South, Central, and Latin America, showcasing their flags.
Besides Lady Gaga and Ricky, the performance included surprise appearances by Cardi B, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, and Karol G.
Lady Gaga wasn’t alone in sharing her thoughts after the performance. Ricky, who played an acoustic version of Bad Bunny’s song “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” – a track focused on preserving Puerto Rican culture – also said he was proud to be a part of it.

The 54-year-old singer shared on Instagram on February 8th that she needed time to cope with overwhelming feelings.
After his incredible performance, Bad Bunny removed everything from his Instagram – all his photos, his profile picture, and even who he was following. He only left one thing: a link to his upcoming 2025 album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, in his profile description.
