Bad Bunny wore his familia close to his chest.
During the Super Bowl halftime show on February 8th, Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny performed his most popular songs and celebrated his heritage. He wore a special Zara outfit with his last name and the number 64 prominently displayed.
Rapper Bad Bunny, known for his song “DTMF,” recently told The Cut that the number in his song is a tribute to his uncle, Cutito, who was born in 1964. Cutito actually taught Bad Bunny, whose full name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, a lot about the NFL.
He always wanted to take his uncle to the Super Bowl, but he never got the chance. His uncle had moved from Puerto Rico to the mainland U.S. when he was just 17, and his passing came suddenly and without any warning, he shared in an interview on February 9th.
I decided to honor my nephew by featuring him on my shirt during the Super Bowl halftime show. I dedicated my performance to him beforehand, and I’m confident he was watching and felt proud.
Bad Bunny wore a complete cream-colored outfit from Zara, including chinos, a structured jacket with football-style shoulder pads, and matching sneakers. Later during his performance, he changed into a double-breasted blazer in the same color family.
During his 13-minute performance at Levi’s Stadium, Bad Bunny entertained the crowd with hits like “Monaco,” “Baile Inolvidable,” and “Nuevayol.” He also paid tribute to his Puerto Rican heritage with a vibrant stage design featuring sugar cane fields, traditional village scenes, domino players, vendors selling shaved ice (piragua), and a tribute to a historic Puerto Rican social club in New York.

Bad Bunny celebrated the release of “Yo Perreo Sola” inside La Casita, with a star-studded guest list including Cardi B, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, and Karol G.
Adding to the excitement, Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny and stunned the crowd by performing a salsa version of her song “Die With A Smile” (originally with Bruno Mars) as a couple tied the knot on stage. Ricky Martin also made a surprise appearance during the performance of “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.”
Before his performance, Bad Bunny gave fans a preview of what was to come, but kept some surprises under wraps.
The Grammy winner said at the press conference on February 5th that they didn’t want to reveal too much, but promised it would be enjoyable and simple, with the main focus being on having fun and dancing.
He stressed that learning Spanish wasn’t necessary. He believed it was more valuable to learn to dance, saying the best dancing comes from expressing genuine emotion.
