Forza Horizon 6 Showcases An Array of Weather Conditions in Japan’s Lowlands

While fans eagerly anticipate more details about Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games has released a 28-second clip showing the game’s engine in action. The video doesn’t highlight the racing itself, but instead showcases the beautiful rural landscapes of Japan, particularly the lowlands.

The track features wide, open areas that transition into dense bamboo forests, where sunlight filters through the trees. When it rains, the asphalt gets nicely wet. In springtime, cherry blossoms cover the roads, and cars kicking up speed will send petals flying. Although Mount Fuji is still far off in the distance, the beautiful forests and hills surrounding the track offer a breathtaking view.

One player pointed out the lack of snow, but unlike earlier games where snow only appeared seasonally, the alpine areas of Japan will now have snow all year round. This addition helps make the game world feel more realistic and keeps things visually interesting throughout the seasons. The overall atmosphere of Japan is also strongly present in the game.

Forza Horizon 6 comes out on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version following later in the year. If you buy the Premium Edition, you can start playing four days early. Xbox Game Pass members can also get early access by purchasing the Premium Upgrade Bundle, but it costs $60 – just $10 more than the standard game.
