Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir is coming to screens soon, and the official release date has now been announced.
I’m so excited! The latest trailer just confirmed the release date for this incredible series – it’s a really cool, noir-style take on a classic superhero. We’ll be able to watch it first on MGM+ starting May 25th, and then the whole season will drop on Prime Video worldwide just two days later, on May 27th! I’ve been waiting for this!
The show will actually come in two different versions, which is really interesting! You can choose to watch a full-color version called “True-Hue,” or a classic black-and-white version. The trailer is available in both, so you can decide which one to check out first.
The latest trailer reveals Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage, stating that a lack of power means a lack of responsibility, and that he’s currently grappling with questions about his own existence.
I’m really excited about Spider-Noir! It’s inspired by the classic comic, and it takes place in 1930s New York, which already sounds amazing. The story follows a private investigator played by Nicolas Cage, and it’s fascinating to learn he used to be a superhero called The Spider. It’s a really cool concept!

Lamorne Morris from New Girl plays Robbie Robertson in the series, with Brendan Gleeson as Silvermane and rising star Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy.

Spider-Noir features a talented supporting cast including Abraham Popoola, known for his role in Andor, Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire, Andrew Lewis Caldwell who appeared in The Matrix Resurrections, Amy Aquino (Juror #2), Andrew Robinson of Hellraiser fame, and Kai Caster from Yellowstone.
Nicolas Cage is returning as Spider-Noir, a character he previously voiced in the Spider-Verse films. The trailer already offers a glimpse of the character’s personality, with Ben confidently stating, “I got into a bar fight and then got really drunk.”
Not long now to go now…
Spider-Noir will be available to stream on Prime Video from 27 May.

She writes about all my favorite things – from classic shows like Doctor Who and Star Wars, to the latest hits like House of the Dragon. Before TopMob, she was a Senior Entertainment Reporter at Metro, and she actually studied English Literature, which makes total sense given how well she writes about these worlds!
