Disney Channel has become known for its popular animated series, like Gravity Falls and Amphibia. While fans often hoped for continuations of these shows, they rarely got them. Now, things are changing! Dana Terrace has announced a sequel project for The Owl House, which concluded in 2023. Fans of Luz will be excited to hear that “The Long-Lived King” is coming later this year.
A new graphic novel called The Owl House: The Long-Lived King is coming out on September 26th! Created by Dana Terrace and Mikki Crisostomo, with art by Daun Han, this story picks up after the end of the series. It focuses on King as he grapples with being a Titan and the realization that he’ll outlive his friends. Despite this sadness, he’s determined to enjoy their time together, even considering using a device from the Collector to erase his unhappy memories.
The story follows King after he accidentally wipes Luz’s memory. He teams up with the Collector and Eda to try and restore her memories, and they all face their biggest fears in the process. This graphic novel, full of funny moments, exciting action, and eye-catching black-and-white art with a manga feel, brings readers back to the world of The Owl House for a thrilling new adventure.
The Owl House Returns

Dana Terrace has been getting a lot of attention lately for her work on projects outside of Disney. Her recent pilot episode, The Knights of Guinevere, has been well-received. Those who’ve seen it note it’s considerably more mature and takes place in a grim setting compared to The Owl House. Although a full series hasn’t been officially confirmed, the pilot shows strong potential for future development.
The original finale of The Owl House featured Luz, Eda, and King triumphing over Emperor Belos and rebuilding the Boiling Islands. The upcoming sequel jumps forward four years, and it will be exciting to see what happens next. The story hints that King will be a key character, continuing to provide much-needed comic relief. If you’re eager to revisit this Disney world, you can pre-order the graphic novel that continues the story, with a release planned for this fall.
