Taylor Swift is enchanted by one Olympian’s love story.
Singer Taylor Swift congratulated Breezy Johnson and Connor Watkins on their engagement. Watkins proposed to Johnson at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games, using a line from Swift’s song “The Alchemy” as his proposal message.
Just after the skier fell during the super-G race on February 12th, her boyfriend, Connor, was waiting for her at the finish line. He proposed with a ring box that had the lyrics, “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?” engraved on it.
You guys, I’m still reeling! I just announced that Connor – yes, my ex boyfriend – is now my fiancé! I shared some pictures on Instagram of the moment, and it was honestly everything I’ve ever hoped for. He’s just… perfect, honestly. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this dream come true – Connor is truly a dream come true!
Taylor appeared to enjoy Connor’s post, responding with lyrics from the song rumored to be about Travis Kelce. She commented, “‘Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me’ CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
Breezy, fresh off winning Team USA’s first gold medal at the Olympics earlier this week, was clearly flustered after Taylor Swift acknowledged her.
The athlete, age 30, jokingly questioned whether an Olympic gold medal or a recent comment felt better. They then playfully asked for a sourdough starter as an engagement gift, adding that they’d be happy to give Taylor ski lessons.

It’s unknown if Breezy and Taylor are planning to hit the slopes together, but Taylor is definitely a strong supporter of the Olympics. She even publicly cheered on Team USA at the start of the Opening Ceremony.
In a pre-recorded video, the 36-year-old expressed their gratitude, saying, “Hearing your stories and seeing your dedication, hard work, and passion – everything you’ve overcome to become so skilled – is truly inspiring.”

Taylor expressed sincere gratitude for all the hard work and dedication that led to this moment, and shared their joy in witnessing this achievement alongside everyone involved.
