3 Best Movies To Watch On Prime Video This Weekend (Feb 14-15)

Looking for something to watch this Valentine’s Day weekend? Prime Video has plenty of romantic options! Last week, I suggested movies like La La Land, Relationship Goals, and even Sherlock Holmes – consider those a preview of what’s available this week for a cozy holiday movie marathon.

Prime Video is highlighting romantic movies this weekend, including two beloved classics starring a Hollywood icon, and a hidden gem original film with familiar faces from popular TV series.

3. Click (2006)

Okay, so if you’re looking for something a little more than just straight-up romance for Valentine’s Day, let me tell you about Click. It’s one of my go-to Adam Sandler movies. It definitely has some heavier moments, but it really boils down to a guy realizing he hasn’t been appreciating his family enough. Honestly, Click is a really sweet movie about learning to cherish the people you have, and it always gets me right in the feels.

Okay, so in ‘Click,’ Adam Sandler plays this guy, Michael Newman, who stumbles upon a universal remote that lets him control time – fast forward, rewind, the whole deal. But, predictably, messing with time has some seriously unexpected consequences and starts to really mess up his life. It dropped on Prime Video here in the US on February 1st, and it timed out perfectly – it quickly became super popular right before Valentine’s Day.

2. 50 First Dates (2004)

The second Adam Sandler film on our list is a classic romantic comedy. In 50 First Dates, Sandler plays Henry, who falls in love with Lucy, played by Drew Barrymore, but she has a condition that causes her to lose her short-term memory. This means Henry has to repeatedly win her over, every single day.

I absolutely loved that movie – it was so touching and really pulled at my heartstrings! Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore just have amazing chemistry together in all their romantic comedies. You genuinely get lost in their story, and it’s a perfect mix of heartwarming and sad moments. They just click on screen!

1. Puppy Love (2023)

For a rom-com option without Adam Sandler, and the only original movie from Prime Video on this Valentine’s Day weekend, check out Puppy Love. You’ll likely recognize the stars: Grant Gustin, who famously played The Flash for nine seasons on the Arrowverse shows, and Lucy Hale, known for her role in the popular series Pretty Little Liars.

The romantic comedy Puppy Love tells the story of Max and Nicole, whose disastrous first date takes an unexpected turn when they discover their dogs have had puppies together. Now, they have to work together to care for the new arrivals! With a strong audience score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, this charming movie is perfect for animal lovers and is available to stream on Prime Video this Valentine’s Day weekend.
