Netflix dropped a first look at its new horror series, ‘Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,’ a wedding-themed thriller starring Camila Morrone, known for her role in ‘The Night Manager‘.
The show was created by Haley Z. Boston, known for her work on the Netflix horror series Brand New Cherry Flavor, and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things.
Riley Keough, known for her work on Daisy Jones & The Six, stars as Rachel. She’s getting married in just five days and travels with her fiancé, Nicky (Adam DiMarco), to his family’s remote cabin in a snowy forest.

The new trailer gives a strong sense of the show’s creepy mood. It begins with Rachel, dressed in a wedding gown, walking down the aisle. Throughout the trailer, we repeatedly hear someone say, “I’m sorry.”
The clip perfectly matches the show’s unsettling tone. It features Rachel fleeing through a snowy forest, a brief shot of a figure being burned like in the Wicker Man, and a disturbingly decorated wedding cake that reads, “I’m sorry I forgot you were going to kill me.”

Netflix describes its new eight-episode series as a horror story centered around a woman getting married, comparing it to classic films like Carrie and Rosemary’s Baby.
Rachel is a naturally superstitious and anxious person, constantly worried that disaster is just around the corner. A string of strange events and unsettling surprises only amplify her fears, leading her to wonder: what truly connects two people on a deep, soulful level?
“And worse — what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?”
The series will star alongside Marco Morrone and Michael DiMarco a talented cast including Jeff Wilbusch, known for “Keep Breathing”, Karla Crome from “Misfits”, Gus Birney of “Shining Vale”, alongside acclaimed actors Jennifer Jason Leigh (“The Hateful Eight”) and Ted Levine (“The Silence of the Lambs”), as well as Sawyer Fraser who starred in “The Baby-Sitters Club”.
