Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the One Piece manga. Following a long flashback detailing the stories of Harald and Rocks D. Xebec, One Piece returns to the highly anticipated battle against the Holy Knights on Elbaph. The Straw Hat Pirates received a friendly welcome from the Giants, but their celebration was interrupted when the Holy Knights attacked, attempting to seize control of the island. To force the Giants to surrender, the Knights began taking children hostage, and their plan was proving disturbingly effective. The World Government has long desired to conquer Elbaph, but their desperation has increased following Vegapunk’s recent broadcast. This message is setting the stage for what promises to be the largest war the world has seen in 800 years.
The World Government needs strong fighters, and having the most powerful race loyal to Imu would be a huge advantage. With Loki and Luffy approaching, major changes are coming. Loki chose to become a villain – falsely blamed for the death of the king of Elbaph – to maintain his father’s standing, as his father was secretly controlled by Imu. Now, as Elbaph faces destruction, the prince is stepping up to defend his people, honoring his father’s wishes. The story has hinted at Loki’s incredible strength – he’s already the strongest on Elbaph, but his full potential is far greater than anyone realizes.
Loki’s Devil Fruit in One Piece Is Tied to The Void Century

Although the manga hasn’t yet named Loki’s Devil Fruit, it’s clear he can transform into a massive dragon. This fruit has been hidden on Elbaph for hundreds of years, and no one had ever been selected by its guardian, Ragnir. Ragnir, awakened as a living warhammer by the fruit, appears as a squirrel and helps Loki.
Fourteen years ago, Loki proved himself worthy and ate a powerful Devil Fruit, giving him the strength to defeat and kill his father, who was on a destructive path. The most recent chapter reveals the dragon Loki transformed into is enormous, completely filling the sky, and resembles the one seen in an old mural. Loki and Luffy both arrive at the battle, but even with Luffy’s massive Gear 5 transformation, he was dwarfed by Loki’s size – he didn’t even reach the height of Loki’s horns.
When Elbaph’s most powerful pair emerges, Jarul shares prophecies from an old text called Harley. These prophecies speak of a strange day when lightning strikes during a snowstorm, a giant appearing in the sky, and a beast arriving with the sound of freeing drums – all signs of the Sun God Nika’s return. This clearly shows how significant this new partnership is. It’s likely a similar duo existed over 800 years ago, perhaps with Joy Boy and the original owner of a famous Devil Fruit.
