Fans can finally watch Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen starting in January. The new season picks up after the devastating events of the Shibuya Incident and introduces the dangerous Culling Game, a battle royale masterminded by Kenjaku for his own purposes. The season is split into two parts, with the first part initially planned for 12 episodes. After the seventh episode aired, the series paused production and will resume with a revised schedule. The official Jujutsu Kaisen X account announced the delay of 94 minutes is due to Olympic broadcasting.
Crunchyroll typically releases new episodes about an hour after they air in Japan, and this change in broadcast time – from 12:26 A.M. to 2 A.M. JST – will likely affect when episodes become available on the streaming service. Crunchyroll hasn’t announced how this will impact their schedule yet. Also, instead of a new episode on February 19th, 2026, a special recap episode covering the key moments of the Shibuya Incident Arc will be shown.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Commences The Culling Game Arc

This season covers Itadori’s battles and the preparations leading up to the massive Culling Game. The Culling Game is the longest story arc so far, and it builds towards the final showdown in Shinjuku. While the sorcerers are focused on rescuing Satoru Gojo, they’ll face many challenges, as Kenjaku has forced over a thousand sorcerers to compete in a dangerous game.
Many of these sorcerers recently gained their powers because Mahito manipulated their brains. The villain has also prepared bodies for powerful, ancient sorcerers, but this is different from Yuji’s situation with Sukuna – Yuji is able to control and contain Sukuna within him. This story arc is packed with unexpected turns and exciting fights, sure to keep viewers engaged. Even though the jujutsu world is in chaos after the Shibuya Incident, Gojo’s students are determined to keep fighting for what they believe in.
Yuki Tsukumo and Choso will surprisingly join forces to fight a shared enemy. The first half of the season is currently airing, and while MAPPA hasn’t announced details about the second half yet, it’s anticipated to be released this year. In the U.S., you can only watch the anime on Crunchyroll, as Netflix is only offering the new season in certain parts of Asia. New episodes previously premiered on Thursdays at 9:00 AM PT, but that schedule will be changing based on recent announcements.
