Scream’s Neve Campbell Sets Record Straight on Prince Harry “Date”

Neve Campbell had a royally innocent outing with Prince Harry.

The Scream actress finally talked about the rumors that she and Harry had once gone on a date, explaining exactly what happened when they met.

Neve clarified on the February 14th episode of The Jonathan Ross Show that it wasn’t a date. She was at a friend’s birthday party when someone pointed out Prince Harry, and she had to ask, ‘Which Harry?’

The 52-year-old, who has two sons – 13-year-old Caspian and 8-year-old Raynor – with JJ Feild, later started talking to the 41-year-old royal at a costume party.

He jokingly told me he used to have a poster of me as a kid, which I found a bit strange – I wondered how old he was when that happened! He wasn’t sure if he was telling the truth or just making a playful comment.

As for what did happen that evening with Harry? 

“We had a dance,” she added. “We had a nice time. We didn’t exchange numbers or anything.”

Harry, who is a father to six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet with his wife Meghan Markle, also mentioned Queen Elizabeth II during their talk.

Neve described him as a very kind person. He began sharing stories about his grandmother, and as they talked, Neve suddenly recognized who he was referring to – it was a strange coincidence.

Even though she didn’t become a princess, she did find love and her own ‘prince charming.’ Neve generally keeps her family life to herself, but she has occasionally shared details about their family of four.

I was so thrilled to share that my son, Raynor, has really fallen in love with dance! He’s already started taking ballet, and honestly, he’s completely captivated by it. It was a sweet surprise because my other son, Caspian, had actually asked about ballet lessons a while back – he didn’t even realize I used to be a ballet dancer myself! It’s wonderful to see them both exploring their creative sides.

However, her eldest ultimately decided not to pursue the extracurricular activity. 

Neve explained they briefly tried something while in New York City, but a single negative experience with a teacher discouraged them. ‘It was just one teacher who seemed to be having a bad day,’ she said. Despite that, she believes that anyone truly passionate and determined to pursue something won’t be held back.
