I’m so excited! Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is back in cinemas, and it looks absolutely incredible! They’ve really upped the visual quality. It’s been a huge hit in Japan since the first part of this film came out last summer, and it’s still going strong! Now, it’s starting a whole new run with this upgraded version – I can’t wait to see it again!
New versions of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle are now playing in Japanese theaters, and the IMAX version offers a significantly wider aspect ratio than previous releases. This means more of the film is visible on screen, creating a more immersive experience. A special clip comparing the different versions has been shared on the anime’s official account, and you can view it below.

The movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has been showing in Japanese theaters since last summer, and these updated versions are keeping it there even longer. However, this isn’t simply a way to make more money from an old film. Comparing the two versions reveals noticeable improvements, especially with the new aspect ratio, which promises a more satisfying viewing experience. Unfortunately, this also means a home video release is still quite a ways off.
I’m a huge Demon Slayer fan, and I’m getting a little frustrated waiting for Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle to come out internationally! It hasn’t even gotten a release date for digital or Blu-ray in Japan yet, which means those of us outside Japan are going to be waiting a long time. It’s a bit annoying to see other big Crunchyroll releases from 2025 already getting streaming dates while we’re still in the dark about this movie. I really hope they find a way to bring this upgraded version to fans worldwide – it’s tough not being able to watch it at all right now!
When Does Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Come Out?

Fans are still waiting for the home release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, and unfortunately, there’s no news yet about the release of the other two movies in the trilogy. While the second film is rumored to come out in 2027, there haven’t been any official announcements or updates confirming this, so it feels quite a ways off.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle was a massive success in Japan, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of all time there. It’s also currently the top-performing international film in the United States. Given how popular this first film was, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the next two, which promise even more exciting final battles.
