Henry Cavill won’t be in new Game of Thrones spin-off
Despite rumors, Henry Cavill won’t be making an appearance in the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Peter Claffey, who stars as Ser Duncan the Tall, has confirmed this.
A video of Robert Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell (who plays Egg in the show) recently became popular online. In the video, Claffey compared his character to Henry Cavill’s Geralt from The Witcher, and Ansell quickly asked if he thought he could mention Cavill by name.
Okay, so things got really awkward at the press conference. When someone mentioned Henry Cavill potentially returning, Claffey practically panicked, repeatedly saying ‘No, no, no!’ and then immediately telling the reporters to forget he said anything at all. Of course, a clip of this quickly spread online, and now everyone’s buzzing with speculation that Cavill might actually make a surprise appearance in ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.’ It’s a weird situation, but it’s definitely got fans excited!
Claffey quickly addressed the rumors with a post on Instagram. They explained that what Dex mentioned in the interview wasn’t about Henry Cavill joining the show or the Game of Thrones world, saying it was a complete misunderstanding.
