We’ve just gotten a first look at the trailer for “Jackie the Stripper,” the new film from writer-director Michael Head. This project is a departure from his previous work, which focused on gangster dramas like “Bermondsey Tales,” “The Last Heist,” and “A Meeting Across the River” – all of which are worth checking out. His latest film, however, ventures into the horror genre.
Okay, so this movie is seriously cool. It centers around Jackie, who leads a group of incredibly skilled female assassins. Their target? This shadowy organization called The Court – and get this, it was originally run by Jack the Ripper! It’s a continuation of sorts, because a guy named John Grey used to fight against the Ripper way back when. Now, Jackie’s taking up the mantle and determined to finally take down The Court and end their reign of terror for good. It’s a really exciting premise!
The film features an intriguing cast, including Charlotte Kirk in the lead role, alongside familiar faces like Patsy Kensit, Jamie Lomas, Kimberly Wyatt, Gary Webster, Perry Benson, and Katie Price. We’ve already seen the movie and want to avoid spoilers, but a release date is expected later this year. It was showcased at the Berlin Film Festival’s European Film Market, and more details will be announced soon. With the tagline ‘Revenge is a dish best served cold, while wearing killer heels,’ it’s no surprise that many of the cast members, playing lap dancers, wear revealing outfits – the costume budget must have been substantial!
