Good vampire games are surprisingly rare, even though vampires are everywhere in movies and books. There are a few beloved titles like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines and survival games like V Rising, but many players are still searching for a truly excellent vampire experience. Vampire Therapist has recently joined the small group of highly-rated vampire games, according to Steam users. Now, the game is available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, and an Xbox version is coming soon.
The indie game Vampire Therapist first launched on Steam in July 2024 and has since received extremely positive reviews, along with several award nominations and wins. The story is built around real therapy techniques and features full voice acting from well-known actors like Matthew Mercer, Sara Grayson, and Cyrus Nemati. Now, after almost two years as a PC exclusive, Little Bat Games is finally bringing the vampire-themed visual novel to consoles.
Vampire Therapist Is Now Available on PlayStation and Switch
In Vampire Therapist, you play as a former gunslinger who now works as a therapist… but for vampires! Throughout the game, you’ll meet vampires from different points in history, all brought to life by voice actors who have worked on popular games like Hades, Hades 2, and Baldur’s Gate 3. You’ll use real cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help these vampires deal with the challenges of their long lives, and these sessions are presented as fun, engaging mini-games. Be warned: Vampire Therapist is rated M for mature due to its dark humor, horror elements, and the serious issues explored in therapy.
I’m totally hooked on Vampire Therapist! It’s gotten amazing reviews on Steam – and for good reason. The gameplay is easy to pick up, but it’s the story that really grabbed me. People are saying it’s both fun and surprisingly thoughtful, with tons to enjoy if you’re into vampires. One review summed it up perfectly: I started playing because the idea was so silly, but I kept going because of the fantastic voice acting and genuinely touching story. If you love vampire stories and well-written games, you need to check this out. And now the best part – it’s finally coming to consoles, so even more people can play!

Good news for fans of immersive stories! Vampire Therapist is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch for just $14.99. You can even get it for 15% off until March 3rd! Currently, the game isn’t working properly on the new Switch 2 console, but it’s fully playable on PS4, PS5, and the original Nintendo Switch. Get ready for a darkly funny and heartfelt vampire experience!
Good news for Xbox owners! The indie game Vampire Therapist is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 5th. This will make the game available on all major consoles, letting players enjoy the story however they like.
Hey, have you heard of Vampire Therapist? It just hit consoles, and I’m wondering if anyone’s planning on giving it a try. Let me know what you think in the ComicBook Forum – I’d love to chat about it!
