Joy Behar likes the view she’s currently seeing in the mirror.
The TV star shared that she lost over 20 pounds with a GLP-1 medication during a conversation on The View on February 18th.
I was so excited to hear Joy say on the show that she’s lost 25 pounds! And the best part? It wasn’t just her! She mentioned that all of us on The View tried it out together – we all did! It’s inspiring to share this journey with my wonderful cohosts.
Several of Joy’s colleagues revealed they had also used the medication to lose weight. It works by acting like a natural hormone to help keep blood sugar levels steady.
Savannah Chrisley shared that she lost 40 pounds by using a GLP-1 medication. She is currently filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is on maternity leave.
The 28-year-old also spoke about the unfair shame people often feel when using medications like GLP-1s. They explained that people have valid health reasons for using them, and in their own case, they used it because they were prediabetic.
Whoopi Goldberg shared her personal experience, explaining, “I lost weight because I used to weigh almost 300 pounds, and I feel great now!”
She then quipped, “We lost a ton of weight at this table.”

Sunny Hostin has shared that she used the weight-loss drug Mounjaro to lose weight after gaining 40 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic, though she didn’t talk about it on the February 18th show.
I’m a big fan of Joy, and I’ve been following her weight loss journey. She hasn’t said exactly which GLP-1 medication she used, but she’s definitely been supportive of others who’ve turned to these types of drugs. I remember earlier this year, she really stood up for Kelly Clarkson after Kelly shared that she’d used a GLP-1 to help with weight loss – it was great to see her defend someone being open about it!
Joy explained that diets aren’t effective. She’d tried many herself, constantly losing weight only to regain it. “It’s a cycle,” she said.
She pointed out that generally, no one wants to be overweight. “It’s just not comfortable, your clothes don’t fit well, and most people are trying to lose weight,” she explained.
Whoopi Goldberg, 70, and Sunny Hostin, 57, both agreed that it’s inappropriate to publicly discuss someone’s weight loss.
It’s just infuriating, honestly! They tore her down when she was at her biggest, and then still found something to criticize when she finally lost weight. Now, because she dared to speak her mind, they’re attacking her again? It’s relentless, and it makes me so mad! They just can’t leave her alone, no matter what she does.
Sunny believes that what people choose to do for their own health is a private matter and shouldn’t be up for debate.
Kelly and her co-hosts on The View aren’t the only famous people talking about using GLP-1 medications. Here’s a look at other celebrities who have tried them.

Long before appearing on Dancing With the Stars, the star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives shared that she was using semaglutide injections – known as Ozempic and Wegovy – to help her lose weight.
She revealed on YouTube in January 2023 that she’s using something that’s helping her lose fat, and she believes it’s being eliminated through her urine. She explained that’s how she understands the process works.

In October 2025, the Queer Eye star revealed they began using a GLP-1 medication after experiencing a health issue in 2023.
Jonathan shared in a TikTok video that after experiencing a health problem, he planned to get a colonoscopy. If the results were clear, he intended to start taking a GLP-1 medication, as he simply wasn’t feeling well.
Jonathan shared that he’s in the best shape of his life after losing weight and starting Pilates at Solidcore. He said, ‘I’ve always wanted abs, and I finally have them!’ He also mentioned he’s feeling great and enjoying showing off his new physique by taking his shirt off more often.
Even after losing 70 pounds with medication, Jonathan continued to champion body positivity.
They explained that they believe in body neutrality – the idea that your value as a person isn’t tied to how you look. Everyone deserves love and appreciation, regardless of their body type.

The comedian began taking the medication Mounjaro for Type 2 diabetes in late 2022. She revealed a significant weight loss in May 2025.
I still can’t quite believe how far I’ve come! I shared on Instagram recently, using the hashtags #mounjaro, #weightloss, and #bodydismorphia, because it’s been such a journey. It’s amazing to see the changes, but honestly, it’s also a little strange getting used to this new me.

Meghan Trainor and her husband, Daryl Sabara, bonded closely after welcoming their son, Riley, in 2021. They took on the intense 75 Hard challenge together and felt great doing it, as Meghan shared on their podcast, Workin’ On It. They then started noticing that many friends—and even their doctors—were using medications like Mounjaro and Ozempic.
Both Daryl and I chose the smallest effective dose of Mounjaro, and we’re combining it with exercise and healthy eating,” the singer of “All About That Bass” shared. “We began this health journey together.”

Kendra Wilkinson, known from the show Girls Next Door, tried a weight loss injection, but only used it once. She announced on Instagram in April 2025 that she started the shots, then quickly decided against continuing and said she was getting rid of it.
The model explained she didn’t want to take any chances with her health. As a mother of two, she’d heard too many frightening stories about people needing emergency room visits and even surgery, and she wanted no part of it.

In March 2025, the host of the Golden Globes spoke out in support of Ozempic, encouraging people to feel comfortable discussing their use of the medication.
She enthusiastically shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she fully supports anyone considering Ozempic. ‘I’m all for it,’ she said, adding, ‘I have no problem with anyone wanting to try it.’
She explained that she wants to break down the shame surrounding weight loss, because she believes that shame actually comes from people who prefer you at a higher weight. They’re upset when you start to lose weight, she said, because they feel threatened by your positive changes and personality. It’s about them, not you.

The model stated in December 2024 that she previously used Ozempic, but she quit using it when she began competing on Dancing With the Stars the prior autumn.
Okay, so when it first came out, I totally tried it, everyone was! Honestly, it made me feel awful, super nauseous. But… I’m not gonna lie, I kind of enjoyed it! It was just… when I started doing Dancing with the Stars, I realized I couldn’t keep up with both, you know? It was too much!
Brooks explained that the medication made her lose some of her desire and energy to exercise. She chose to focus on dancing instead, so she stopped getting shots to help with her workouts.

In November 2024, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter revealed she’d lost 58 pounds over ten months by changing her diet and using the medication Tirzepatide. She said she now feels proud of her progress and how she looks.
Before discovering a solution that suited her, she had a difficult experience with Ozempic. “I really disliked it,” she told TopMob News. “It made me feel nauseous whenever I tried to eat, and sometimes I couldn’t eat anything at all. My body just didn’t react well to it.”

The star of The Real Housewives of New York City recently addressed rumors about her noticeable transformation between seasons 14 and 15.
As a longtime fan, I’ve noticed it’s just become second nature for people to immediately speculate about what reality stars have or haven’t done – like assuming someone’s had plastic surgery or is using Ozempic. Honestly, I completely agree with her – she actually said she hates Ozempic and would never inject herself with anything like that, and I think that’s really refreshing to hear!

After people on social media wondered if Lizzo had used the drug Ozempic to lose weight, sparked by a recent photo showing her slimmer physique, the singer responded with a video. The video featured a popular sound clip from the movie Django Unchained, where Christoph Waltz’s character says, “It’s like a reward.”
Later, though, the musician admitted she gave some injectibles a shot.
Lizzo explained to Trisha Paytas on the Just Trish podcast in June 2025 why she stopped taking GLP-1 medications sooner than expected. She said that medications like Ozempic work by helping people eat less, making them feel full. However, Lizzo believes you can achieve the same result by controlling your eating habits and willpower without medication.

As someone who follows wellness trends closely, I was really struck by Lottie Moss’s recent openness. She shared on her podcast, Dream On, that starting Ozempic was actually a really negative experience for her – she called it the worst decision she ever made, and it was a really brave thing for her to talk about.
The model became sick after accidentally taking a dose of medication intended for someone much larger – around 220 pounds or heavier – and had to be treated in the emergency room because they couldn’t keep food or water down.

In April 2024, Jon Gosselin, known from the show Jon & Kate Plus 8, told Page Six that he lost 32 pounds in two months using semaglutide injections – the generic version of the drug Ozempic.
“You know what’s annoying?” he said. “The regret of not starting it 10 years ago.”

Ree Drummond, known as the Pioneer Woman, wrote on her blog in March 2024 to clarify that she didn’t use Ozempic or any comparable drugs to lose 50 pounds in 2022.
She emphasized that she would never criticize anyone for making that life choice.

I was really surprised to hear that Tracy Morgan shared he’d been using Ozempic! He talked about it on Today With Hoda and Jenna last August, and explained it helped him lose weight by basically curbing his hunger. It was interesting to hear him be so open about it.
In March 2024, he revealed a surprising update about his health. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he joked, “I’ve actually managed to eat more than Ozempic allows!” and explained he’d gained 40 pounds.
He later told TopMob News he was just kidding, and explained, “Ozempic worked really well for me, and I was happy to have used it.”

Okay, so I’m completely obsessed with the Real Housewives of Dubai, and I just found out that one of the ladies admitted to using Ozempic! Apparently, she was going through a bit of a midlife thing when she turned 45 and decided to try it. I mean, it’s so fascinating to hear them be real about stuff like this, and honestly, I’m living for the drama!
Caroline Stanbury admitted on her podcast, Uncut & Uncensored, that losing weight becomes significantly harder after age 40. She explained that many women have asked her how she’s managed to stay in shape, and she was honest about using the medication Ozempic, which she believes is a very effective weight loss tool if accessible.

During a July 2024 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star stated she wasn’t using Ozempic. She jokingly followed up by admitting she was actually using Mounjaro, and expressed her happiness with her current weight and energy levels.

A former cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta shared that she wasn’t successful in losing weight using the weight-loss injection.
She explained in June 2024 that a certain treatment didn’t reduce her appetite at all – in fact, she was still eating appetizers, a full meal, and dessert. Seeing others succeed with it while she didn’t left her feeling down and wondering what was wrong with her.

I’m not a medical expert, but I’ve been following the discussions around treatments like Ozempic. It seems clear that it can be helpful for some, but also carries potential risks, based on what I’ve read and heard.

Former Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, who has previously discussed her battle with anorexia, said it’s been hard to ignore online rumors about her weight and whether she’s using the drug Ozempic.
In an August 2025 interview with The Guardian, Jade admitted she constantly struggles with the temptation to try Ozempic. While she understands why others use it, she worries about how it might affect her, given her past struggles with eating disorders, and isn’t sure where she would draw the line.

The actress, known for Beverly Hills, 90210, reportedly used a drug to lose weight after having her son, Beau, in 2017.
She mentioned on her podcast in April 2024 that Ozempic wasn’t effective for her, but Mounjaro helped her lose weight.

The actress explained to Francesca Amiker of TopMob News that it’s crucial to remember medications are prescribed for specific individuals and shouldn’t be used simply for cosmetic reasons.
Raven said, “Take care of what you need to, but please make sure to save the medicine for those who really require it.”

In September 2023, the host of Talk U.K. shared that she had lost 42 pounds after using the medication Ozempic earlier that year.
She told TopMob News that the decision is entirely personal. She also clarified that using aids to help with weight loss is common and shouldn’t be seen as shameful.
She added, “We don’t have to bulls–t.”

Sharon’s daughter has also weighed in on the Ozempic trend.
As a lifestyle expert, I completely agree – it’s fantastic! There are so many ways to approach weight loss, and why not choose something enjoyable instead of feeling like it’s a chore? If you can find an activity you love, it makes the whole process so much easier and more sustainable. It shouldn’t feel like punishment; it should be something you look forward to!

Kate Winslet, known for her role in Titanic and previously scrutinized by the tabloids for her weight, recently discussed her thoughts on the current trend of focusing on weight loss.
In a March 2024 interview with The New York Times Magazine, Kate confessed she wasn’t familiar with Ozempic, saying, “All I know is that it’s some pill people are taking.”
“Oh, my God,” Kate remarked after learning about the injectable. “This sounds terrible.”

As someone who’s always focused on wellness, I was really happy to share recently that I’ve lost 22 pounds naturally! It’s been a journey, and honestly, I don’t believe in quick fixes. I’ve noticed a lot of talk about medications like Ozempic, and while everyone makes their own choices, that’s just not a path I’d ever take. I’m not going to call anyone out, but for me, there are no shortcuts to feeling your best – it takes real work and dedication.
Heidi said she’s looking for something sustainable that also involves effort and dedication.

During her June 8, 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the Trainwreck star openly criticized celebrities for being dishonest about using Ozempic to lose weight.
She said it seems like everyone is trying Ozempic. Responding to claims that people are simply eating smaller portions, she told Andy Cohen, ‘That’s not true. If you’ve lost weight, you’re either using Ozempic or something similar, or you’ve had cosmetic procedures. Let’s be honest about it.’ Cohen has also spoken publicly about the trend multiple times.
Senator Schumer, who has previously discussed her cosmetic surgeries, emphasized the importance of honesty, saying, “I openly admitted to having liposuction.”
She shared that she quickly became very interested in Ozempic in 2022, but ultimately stopped taking the medication, which is typically used for Type 2 diabetes. She explained that it interfered with her ability to enjoy time with her son, Gene, making it unsustainable for her to continue.
I remember being too sick to play with my son,” Schumer said. “I was really thin at the time, and he was throwing a ball at me, but I just didn’t have the strength to participate.

Dr. Drew recently told TopMob News that people have complicated reactions to shows like Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. He explained that while viewers are often fascinated, they also tend to be critical of the participants.
He added that if a treatment could offer benefits, people should definitely consider trying it.

Forget winter, a hot take is coming.
The actress, known for her role in Game of Thrones, didn’t hold back when discussing Ozempic and the commercials promoting it.
On April 5, 2023, the actress shared a tweet on her Instagram Story from writer Sophie Vershbow criticizing ads for the weight-loss drug Ozempic. Vershbow’s tweet expressed strong disapproval of the ads, which were prominently displayed in the Times Square subway station. The ads themselves highlighted the drug’s ease of use, with phrases like “One shot to lose weight” and “A weekly shot to lose weight.”
Turner adding her own commentary, writing, “WTF.”
Novo Nordisk, the company that makes Ozempic, has stated that the drug is not currently approved by the FDA for long-term weight loss.
Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic, acknowledges that some doctors are prescribing the drug for weight loss, but the company doesn’t advertise or support using its medications for purposes other than those officially approved. They emphasize their commitment to following all U.S. laws and regulations regarding drug promotion. Novo Nordisk also expresses confidence that doctors are carefully considering each patient’s specific health needs when choosing the best treatment.

Comedian Chelsea Handler is speaking out about Ozempic, explaining that a doctor prescribed it to her for anti-aging purposes without fully explaining what the drug was.
She revealed on the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy that she hadn’t realized she was trying to lose weight. Someone told her, ‘If you want to lose five pounds, this will help.’
But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.
She remembered returning from vacation and immediately using the medication. A few days later, she met a friend for lunch who mentioned feeling sick and taking Ozempic. The woman realized she was feeling unwell too, but initially attributed it to jet lag from her trip to Spain.
Honestly, I realized I didn’t need the medication anymore, so I decided to stop taking it. And you know what? I passed the remaining pills along to friends who could actually benefit from them – it felt much better than letting them go to waste.
She admitted to giving Ozempic to around four or five friends, explaining she decided against using it herself because she thought it was unnecessary. She described having friends come to her house to receive injections, scheduling appointments like ‘one at one, one at two’.

Khloe Kardashian clapped back when commenters on Instagram speculated that she was taking Ozempic.
Kardashian responded to criticism in a January 2023 post, pointing out her dedication to fitness. She explained she works out five days a week, starting at 6 a.m., and asked people to stop making assumptions about her. She added that, despite the new year, some people remain unkind.
