Jury Duty Season 2: Company Retreat Trailer Reveals the New Star

Jury Duty is no longer OOTO.

Get ready for season two of the popular Prime Video series Jury Duty! This time, it’s called Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, and it follows one person who doesn’t know they’re on a fake work retreat with a cast of actors playing their colleagues.

Although Ronald Gladden was the one who originally experienced the funny situations in season one, the trailer for season two reveals our new main character: Anthony Norman.

Let me tell you about this wild gig I just learned about! There’s a guy named Anthony who took a temporary job at Rockin’ Grandma’s, this really cool family-owned hot sauce company, to help with their company retreat. Sounds fun, right? Well, it quickly turned into something else entirely! He walked right into the middle of a corporate takeover battle. Now he’s juggling trust falls, dealing with some… let’s just say unique motivational speakers, and even trying to survive a company talent show, all while this huge deal is going down. It’s a total workplace comedy waiting to happen!

The show is full of funny and ridiculous moments, and it will be released on Prime Video in three parts: the first three episodes premiere on March 20th, two more on March 27th, and the final three episodes on April 3rd.

In the trailer, Anthony says to the camera, “It feels like my life is a TV show, but this is something that’s actually happening—you couldn’t invent this.”

It’s still uncertain how Anthony will feel when he learns everything he went through was staged, but as Ronald from the first season said after the show aired, it was definitely an intense experience.

He told TopMob News in 2023 that it was a completely unique experience. He’d signed up hoping for something new, and it turned out to be even better than he’d imagined.

Ronald was also surprised to actually become friends with James Marsden, who played a somewhat exaggerated version of himself in the first season.

Looking back, my portrayal on the show was inconsistent, to be honest,” Ronald said, reflecting on how James depicted him. “But once I realized that wasn’t his accurate impression of me, I thought it was amazing.

James was really excited to be involved in something new and innovative like Jury Duty.

He described the type of comedy he enjoys as having a basic structure, but allowing performers to creatively react to each other. ‘I was always hoping for a chance to do something like that,’ he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023.

Actually, it was his appearance on the show that convinced Ronald to accept what was happening.

James Marsden explained that someone told him having him on the jury made the situation feel more real. He considered this a compliment, saying it meant he successfully portrayed a somewhat unlikeable character – a juror people might perceive as a ‘prick’.
