2 Rumored MCU Deaths Won’t Actually Happen in Doomsday But 1 Will — Report

Recent reports about character deaths in the upcoming Marvel Studios film Avengers: Doomsday have been revised. A reliable source has confirmed that two previously believed fatalities won’t happen, while another character’s death has been verified.

Fans of Marvel movies have become accustomed to seeing characters die, especially in the Avengers films. It started with Phil Coulson in the first Avengers movie, and continued with Quicksilver in Age of Ultron. The stakes were raised significantly in Infinity War with the loss of half of all life, and culminated in Iron Man’s heroic death in Endgame.

There’s been a lot of speculation about potential deaths in the upcoming ‘Doomsday’ event, which will feature the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four uniting against Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.). A rumor started by MyTimeToShineHello claimed Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) would die early in the story, but according to reliable source James Mack, that’s simply not true.

Responding to a report from MyTimeToShineHello, Mack clarified that certain rumors are intended to distract from actual details about the movie. He specifically stated that Spider-Man and Wolverine both survive the events of “Avengers Doomsday!”

Who will actually die in Avengers: Doomsday?

Mack, in another post, unfortunately spoiled which popular Marvel character is likely to die. They explained that, “Given everything happening with Loki, it’s pretty clear! If the ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ movie happens, it will be because Doctor Doom found the person safeguarding the timelines.”

According to reports, Loki – who was put in charge of the Multiverse at the end of his Disney+ show – will be killed, along with everyone at the Time Variance Authority, by Doctor Doom.

If confirmed, this would be another instance of Loki seemingly dying, a trick the character pulled before in Thor: The Dark World. He was previously killed in the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. However, the Loki appearing in this new story is a version from 2012 who managed to escape while the Avengers were traveling back in time during Endgame to get the Tesseract.

Okay, so I’ve been following all the buzz, and it looks like we’re finally going to find out who doesn’t make it in the big Avengers team-up movie. Apparently, all the character deaths – and there are a LOT of rumors flying around – will be shown when it hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Until then, I’m taking everything I hear online with a huge grain of salt, because honestly, it’s probably not true until we actually see it happen on the big screen.
