Fans of a popular fantasy comedy series will be happy to know it’s coming back to Paramount+ very soon! The streaming service has been adding lots of new shows throughout February, and this series is one of the last additions before March brings even more new content. It’s returning just two months after taking a break mid-season.
The popular CBS comedy Ghosts returns tonight after a short break! Based on the British series of the same name, the show follows a young couple, played by Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar, who discover their new home is haunted – and only one of them can see the ghosts. The first episode back, titled “The Others,” airs on CBS at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on February 26th. You can watch it live with a Paramount+ Premium subscription, or the next day with a Paramount+ Essential subscription. This episode introduces new ghosts from the past and continues the story of Trevor and Patience’s relationship.
CBS’ Ghosts Is One of the Best Modern Sitcoms
Look, if you’re still not sure about checking out Ghosts, please do! As a comedy fan, I can tell you it’s genuinely one of the best shows on network TV right now. It’s just so charming and cozy, but also surprisingly moving. What I love is how it balances hilarious situations – imagine living with a bunch of goofy ghosts from different time periods! – with genuinely touching moments as you learn about who they were when they were alive. It’s based on a British show, but this version really found its own groove. It’s quicker, focuses more on the whole group dynamic, and honestly, just feels really good to watch.
The comedy Ghosts has become a surprising success, consistently ranking among the most popular comedies and receiving excellent reviews. While Season 5 continues that trend, it’s starting to show a little wear and tear. The season has built on the funny connections between the established ghosts, adding new, lively characters like Patience and Carol to create more challenges and excitement. Will There Be a Ghosts Season 6?
Viewers can enjoy Season 5 of Ghosts knowing the show will be back for Season 6. CBS renewed the comedy for two more seasons during Season 4, ensuring it will air through at least 2027. What happens after that is still uncertain. Interestingly, the British version of Ghosts only lasted five seasons, with a short bonus episode released later for charity. This means the American Ghosts is already on track to last longer than the original!
