The dark cloud in the game might be a black dragon connected to the weather, possibly acting as a protector of the area. Considering the new game, Pokémon Winds & Waves, focuses on wind and water, a weather-themed Legendary Pokémon would be a natural fit. While Pokémon hasn’t made an official announcement, details have leaked about some of the new creatures, including their names – Browt, Pombon, and Geqcua – and their initial stats.

If that weather-related hint is real, I’m guessing The Pokémon Company will probably reveal that dragon-type Pokémon at some point soon. I’m excited!
The new Pokémon game, Pokémon Winds & Waves, is scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, though an exact date hasn’t been announced. It could possibly come out in November 2027, coinciding with the holiday shopping season.
