Lisa Rinna was eager to have one faithful family member’s opinion.
Okay, so I’m completely obsessed with Lauren Graham, and she just released this amazing new book, ‘You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It’! She was talking about it, and it was SO cute – she admitted she gets totally nervous showing her work to her husband, Harry Hamlin! Like, can you imagine? Even she needs his approval! It’s just… adorable, honestly. I need to read this book immediately, and I bet Harry already has a signed copy!
Lisa explained to TopMob News that she was anxious about her book being read by someone who was both a very keen reader and exceptionally intelligent. She worried he might dislike it and tell her so bluntly, saying something like, ‘This book isn’t good.’
But the 62-year-old, who married Harry in 1997, said Harry actually reacted in a completely different way.
She shared that he was really impressed, telling her she was both brave and open, and that she’d done a wonderful job. She added that his approval meant the most to her, as she values his opinion above all others.
Lisa Rinna, known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, shared that her husband, Harry, was deeply touched while reading a piece about their life together. It covered everything from the loss of her parents and her experience after giving birth, to the highs and lows of her well-known career, and their marriage. She has two daughters, Delilah Belle, 27, and Amelia, 24, with Harry.
She said he told her she has a loud, clear voice, a self-deprecating wit, and a good sense of humor. He was so moved by it, he even cried, explaining that it perfectly captured their 34 years together.
Writing this book helped Lisa understand herself better, and she’s been enjoying a lighter project lately. Now that The Traitors has finished, she’s working with fellow Traitor Rob Rausch again—this time not on a strategic challenge, but at a Sonic Drive-In.

She said she loved his Sonic commercial for the Smasher burger. When she was asked to star in her own Sonic ad, she was thrilled, and she was even more excited when they asked them to do another commercial together – she actually screamed when she heard the news!
Lisa also mentioned she and Rob really enjoyed collaborating on the recent Sonic campaign, and that experience made her appreciate her time on The Traitors even more.

I made so many friends that I’ll stay close to for life. I genuinely liked everyone, but I especially connected with Rob and Candiace Dillard Bassett. I really enjoyed playing with my fellow Traitors, and I saw someone online say this season was amazing and the production team deserved a raise – and I completely agree, they were very clever.
Lisa and Rob seemed to have a real connection during season four of The Traitors, but the show doesn’t reveal everything that happened behind the scenes. Here are some secrets from the show that you might not know.

Deception is a key part of the game in The Traitors, but players are randomly assigned as either Traitors or Faithful. Starting in season two, contestants like Phaedra Parks and Kate Chastain had the opportunity to try and convince host Alan Cumming of their innocence.
The selection process for who plays the Traitor is incredibly important, and Alan’s input is a key part of it,” explained executive producer Mike Cotton in an interview with Variety. “It’s similar to a job interview – we carefully consider each contestant and make a final decision right before the pick. Our goal is to create a dynamic group with diverse skills and personalities.
The players didn’t initially know how many Traitors were among them. Cirie Fields, a winner on Survivor, explained to TopMob News in 2023 that they were told at the start of the game there could be three to five Traitors.

Players were also asked to take the Traitor’s Oath, which involved promising to lie and deceive others throughout the game, being willing to eliminate other players each night, and keeping both their own and other players’ identities hidden.

To identify potential ‘backstabbers’ and bluffs, the show uses a personality test for the contestants. According to Cotton Variety, this helps producers spot individuals who might be skilled at deception. However, the producers themselves don’t know who the ‘Traitors’ are until the moment Alan Carr secretly selects them.

Alan Cumming was thrilled to accept the over-the-top role and even bring his dog to work. He told The Daily Beast in 2023 that when he first heard the pitch, he envisioned playing a character similar to a James Bond villain, and jokingly suggested bringing his dog to pet during scenes. The producers loved the idea, and that’s what convinced him to take the part.
With his rescue dog, Lala, by his side, he fully embraced his on-camera role, playfully quoting the works of William Shakespeare and Plato. He described adopting a dramatic persona – ‘a sort of flaring-nostril thing’ – and admitted to improvising a lot. In fact, he often received lines directly in his ear, making the experience similar to doing stand-up comedy and ‘winging it’ on the spot.

Okay, let’s talk about filming locations! While the cast of many period dramas does film in stunning places like Ardross Castle in Scotland – and it looks like they’re living the high life – don’t be fooled! They don’t actually get to stay in the castle itself. It’s a beautiful backdrop for their work, but they’re usually put up elsewhere during production.
Cumming told The Daily Beast that none of the cast and crew stayed at the castle itself. Instead, they stayed at the hotel near the Inverness airport. He personally had a room in the castle, but only used it to get ready and change. He mentioned it had a large bed and he’d often nap there, but never spent the night.

The show nearly featured a much more dangerous challenge. According to creator Marc Pos, he initially planned to film on a ship off the coast of Australia, where eliminated contestants would have to swim to an island. However, he ultimately decided it would be too complicated and expensive to film.

Contestants didn’t have access to the entire castle. According to Cotton, who spoke with Variety, they’re using just one section—a wing of the castle—as the area for gameplay. They also have full access to the outdoor grounds and are free to move around there.
He pointed out that with room for around 30 bedrooms, complete privacy would be difficult. While people could spread out and talk separately, the space wasn’t small enough to prevent overhearing or noticing someone leaving for a private conversation.

It makes sense that Rachel Reilly, a former contestant on Big Brother, found car rides to and from competitions to be the best time to strategize with other players. She told Reality Blurred that “You’re separated, and nobody can hear what you’re saying,” unlike in the house where she had to whisper.

Players weren’t allowed to discuss strategy at the hotel. According to Dan Gheesling, a contestant from season two, this was because anything said off-camera couldn’t be used in the show if it contained important information. He told Business Insider that conversations were only permitted when microphones and cameras were actively recording.

Chrishell Stause, from season three of the show, also shared that they weren’t provided with a hair and makeup team. She told Us Weekly that she “would’ve died to have glam in the castle,” but Alan didn’t permit it.

Getting everyone settled for the nightly murders is a huge undertaking. As Cotton explained to Variety, it’s like a large-scale military operation to ensure the ‘Faithful’ are each put to bed in separate rooms, and then allow the ‘Traitors’ to come back out for their secret meetings.
Even though Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan were a couple during season two of the show, they weren’t permitted to share a room. According to executive producer Sam Rees-Jones, producers felt it would have given them an unfair advantage over the other contestants.

Reza Farahan from Shahs of Sunset tried to add some playful mischief during filming. He told Digital Spy that he attempted to slip notes under contestants’ doors when they weren’t supposed to be having fun. The notes jokingly hinted at secrets, reading, ‘I know what you did last summer, signed The Traitors.’

The production schedule is demanding, with the team aiming to film one episode each day. As producer Rees-Jones explained to Variety, this fast pace is intentional – it helps the cast stay focused and maintain the immersive atmosphere of the show. While it’s a lot of pressure, they believe it ultimately benefits the content. A typical day involves breakfast, a planning meeting, a mission, and a murder mystery, then they start the process all over again. Stause mentioned that some nights they didn’t return to their rooms until 2 a.m.
According to Cotton, who spoke with Variety, breakfast on set is carefully scheduled with actors arriving at different times. However, the meals themselves are kept concise, lasting no more than an hour from beginning to end.

As a huge fan, I’ve always wondered how the show keeps everyone on their toes, and it seems like they really limit alcohol intake! Ekin-Su, who won Love Island and was a ‘Faithful’ on season two of The Traitors, told Entertainment Weekly in 2024 that they were only allowed one drink per night – it was pretty strict, she said.

Let me tell you, filming a show like this can be intense, and it’s not always easy to find people you truly connect with. But what I really appreciated – and I think viewers will too – is that each of us had a dedicated welfare team member. Seriously, they were always checking in! Mercedes Javid and I were chatting about it on the Just Sayin’ podcast, and she felt the same way – they were incredibly cheerful, professional, and made sure we all felt supported and taken care of throughout the whole process. It made a huge difference!

When it comes to building relationships on camera, contestants don’t find out who their competition will be until they arrive in Scotland. Casting director Deena Katz told Time that this is intentional – they don’t want anyone researching each other or making plans beforehand. However, once the competition begins, players are given information about each other and a journal to keep notes.

Cumming jokingly refers to himself as a “Traitor,” referencing the social deduction game he enjoys. In a 2023 interview with the Daily Beast, he explained that the game often involves players falsely accusing each other, saying someone might be labeled a “Traitor” for arbitrary reasons – like a simple pat on the shoulder. He finds the illogical accusations humorous.
