Mary Cosby Shares Devastating Tribute to Son Robert After His Death

Mary Cosby is honoring her late son Robert Cosby Jr.

Shortly after her son passed away on February 23rd, the star of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City posted a touching and emotional message remembering her 23-year-old son.

On February 28th, Mary shared an old photo of herself with her son, Robert Jr., on Instagram, writing, “#godfirst #love #forever.” She added, “I’m Going to miss you bubs,” revealing she shared Robert Jr. with Robert Cosby Sr.

The Bravo star shared a cute photo with their son, set to Jessica Mauboy’s song “Time After Time.” Both are smiling in the picture.

Robert Jr. died on February 23rd, and police were called to investigate a potential overdose, according to Salt Lake City Police Department officials. The exact cause of death is still under investigation by the medical examiner.

Two days later, Mary, 53, confirmed his passing.

Mary shared on February 25th that her son, Robert Jr., has passed away. While deeply saddened, she finds comfort in her faith and the belief that he is now at peace. She and her family appreciate everyone’s prayers and are relying on God to help them through this difficult time.

Following news of Robert’s death, Bravo’s Andy Cohen shared his condolences.

He shared heartbreaking news on Threads on February 25th, calling it every parent’s worst fear. He expressed his deep sympathy for Mary and sent his love to both her and Robert Sr.

I can’t believe it… Robert Jr. is gone. It’s just… devastating. And it happened so soon after he finally got out of jail! Only a month after being released from that Salt Lake County place after serving two months. His lawyer, Clayton Simms, told Page Six, and honestly, I’m still in shock. It all feels so unfair.

Simms said it gave him time to get himself together and think things through. He’s eager to focus on positive changes. It took him a while to accept that his marriage was ending, but he now realizes it’s over and is ready to move on.

Robert Jr., who has faced legal and addiction issues previously highlighted on his mother’s reality show, admitted guilt to eight out of fourteen charges in December, as reported by People magazine. These included damaging property, violating a court order meant to protect his soon-to-be ex-wife, Alexiana Arian Smokoff, and illegally entering someone’s home with the intention of causing distress or fear.

After Robert Jr. was released from prison, Mary offered him her support as he began a new phase of his life.

I was so touched by her recent Instagram post! She shared a sweet picture of her son on February 7th, and her caption was just the cutest. She wrote, simply, ‘Love you all. My beautiful son.. I love him sm.’ It really showed how much she cares.
