Hunter x Hunter’s New Free Roguelike Game Just Hit No. 1

I’m absolutely thrilled to see the newest release is already a massive hit! It’s fantastic news for everyone who loves this series, and it really shows just how much we all still crave more work from Yoshihiro Togashi – his storytelling still captivates us after all this time!

The new video game, Hunter x Hunter x Nen x Survivor, quickly became the most popular free game on the App Store’s iPhone chart after it was released on February 18, 2026.

The game has been incredibly popular, reaching over 500,000 downloads worldwide on the Google Play Store in its first week. Players have given it an average rating of 4.2 stars from more than 5,700 reviews on Google Play, and 4.3 stars from over 8,000 reviews on the App Store.

Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor Debuts at No. 1 on App Store Game Chart

The director of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor, Natsume, recently posted a message on the game’s website thanking players for their enthusiastic response. He acknowledged some early technical issues and reassured the community that the team is working hard to resolve them.

The game’s director said the team remains dedicated to improving and running the game, with the goal of providing a great experience for all players. They also expressed gratitude for ongoing support and announced that March will bring exciting news and a significant update that fans have been waiting for.

Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor, created by WonderPlanet and published by Bushiroad, is a quick-moving action game where you play as characters from the Hunter x Hunter series. It’s designed to be easily played with one hand! You’ll battle tons of enemies using each character’s unique abilities. A key part of the game is building a team of four companions to create the best strategy for defeating everything in your path.

Players can develop their Hunters in many ways, like leveling up, training their Nen abilities, and improving their lineage. This lets them become even more powerful and overcome tougher challenges.

When the game initially released, players could control the main characters – Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika – in fast-paced battles against many enemies, just like the action seen in the game itself.

Fans were thrilled with the new trailer, especially since they’d been waiting a long time for more animated content from Hunter x Hunter. This excitement probably caused the series to become the most downloaded app and game on the Japanese App Store last week, as rankings are based on downloads from Monday to Sunday.

Besides Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor, two other anime-based games had a strong showing: SLOT Puella Magi Madoka Magica 2 and Pachislot Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. They both appeared on the same weekly chart, ranking at number 8 and number 10.
