With a new season of the BBC thriller The Capture on the way, creator Ben Chanan has shared that he thinks the team has outdone themselves this time around, giving fans something to look forward to.
The show has had two seasons, one in 2019 and another in 2022, and both were filled with memorable moments.
In an exclusive interview with TopMob, Chanan readily shared which episode he was most excited for fans to see from the new season.
Chanan said emphatically: “Episode 3, season 3, is the best episode we’ve ever made.”

Season 3 of The Capture begins on Sunday, March 8, 2026, with new episodes released each week. Viewers will have to wait until Sunday, March 22nd to find out what Chanan and the team have planned for this new season.
The latest season of this suspenseful drama begins a year after the shocking events of season two, where Rachel Carey (played by Holliday Grainger) revealed to the public how the British government was using sophisticated deepfake technology and a program called Correction.
Season 3 finds Carey unexpectedly leading the Counter Terrorism Command while an investigation unfolds regarding the misuse of Correction. She’s committed to restoring public confidence in surveillance by implementing Operation Veritas, a new camera system.
Then, suddenly, a violent and carefully planned terrorist attack strikes at the center of British power, leaving only one person to bear witness.

As Carey digs further into the case, she finds herself increasingly entangled in a major international crisis that reaches the highest levels of British politics, intelligence agencies, and the press.
This conspiracy goes all the way to the top, but the mastermind remains hidden. As the danger escalates and Carey loses allies, how far will she go to survive?
Paapa Essiedu and Indira Varma are back for another season, and the cast is growing with the addition of Killian Scott, Joe Dempsie, Hugh Quarshie, Linus Roache, Jonathan Aris, Andrew Buchan, and Amanda Drew.
The Capture season 3 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from Sunday 8 March 2026.
