Season 3 of The Marlow Murder Club arrives on U&Drama this month! A new trailer gives fans a sneak peek at the returning detectives and introduces a host of exciting guest stars.
The show centers around three unlikely detectives – Judith Potts, a retired archaeologist played by Samantha Bond; Suzie Harris, a dog walker portrayed by Jo Martin; and Becks Starling, a vicar’s wife played by Cara Horgan. They quickly become essential to Detective Inspector Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) as she solves crimes.
Based on the books by Robert Thorogood, who also created the TV show Death in Paradise, The Marlow Murder Club is a popular example of the current trend for gentle, engaging crime dramas on British television, and upcoming episodes promise to be just as enjoyable.
The new series kicks off with a string of puzzling deaths in the seemingly peaceful town of Marlow. First, the town’s popular and well-liked mayor dies unexpectedly. Then, a famous chef is found dead during his book launch, in front of a large crowd. As the team investigates, they’ll be under close scrutiny from the residents of Marlow.

The group will also be drawn into a mystery during their university reunion, held at a spooky old manor. Unexpectedly, Becks becomes a suspect, and this case might jeopardize the amateur detectives’ positions as consultants.

In a review of The Marlow Murder Club season 2, TopMob writer James Hibbs noted that the show has successfully moved beyond being a simple adaptation of the original novel and is now a series with ongoing storylines, positioning it well for future seasons.
He said the show was taking the “cosy crime” genre to an even more comfortable level, though his co-star, Samantha Bond, probably wouldn’t agree with that assessment.
In a past interview with Yahoo UK, she shared her dislike for the term “cosy crime,” admitting she needed to move past it. She described her plots as detailed, complicated, and thought-provoking.
I think people call things ‘cosy’ because they hide the unpleasant or violent parts – that’s the only appealing thing about them, really. I’m getting to the point where I simply don’t want to watch violence on TV anymore.
The Marlow Murder Club is coming to U&Drama on Wednesday 18th March 2026.
