Let It Die Ending Online Service After Nearly 10 Years, But You’ll Still Be Able to Play It

Okay, so it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me as a Let It Die player. The online servers are finally going offline after almost ten years, which is sad. But the really cool part is they’re releasing an Offline Edition, so I can still keep fighting and surviving in the game forever! It’s awesome that I won’t have to say goodbye completely.

Let It Die is a free online action game where you battle other players. However, the game’s servers will be shut down on September 1st, 2026, bringing its nearly 10-year run to a close.

This fall will see the release of Let It Die Offline Edition, which will replace the original game. Unlike the free online version, this new edition will be a paid product.

The price hasn’t been announced yet, but it looks like returning players will only need to buy extra content instead of the entire game again, which should hopefully keep the cost reasonable.

Death Metals are being removed and replaced with Kill Coins earned in-game. The game has also been updated to significantly reduce its reliance on online features.

Once the Offline Edition is available, you’ll be able to carry over your progress from the online game.

The trailer highlights both the Offline Edition of the game and the launch of Season 2 for Let It Die: Inferno.

So, Let It Die is ending its online service, but it won’t disappear completely. It will continue to be playable as a game you can enjoy offline.

There’s a little more information on the official site.

So, hearing about Let It Die going offline is tough, right? I’m definitely bummed, and I’m curious to know if other fans like me are still planning on playing it while it’s still up, or if this changes things. Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
