Okay, so I’m a huge MotoGP fan, and it looks like we’re finally getting a new game! While Milestone hasn’t said anything official yet, a reliable source says they’ll be revealing it this week, on March 5th. The really exciting part? It’s supposedly coming to the new Nintendo Switch 2! Apparently, this will be the first MotoGP game that doesn’t come out on older consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One – they’re really focusing on the current generation. But don’t worry, it will still be available on the standard Nintendo Switch, which is awesome!
I’m so excited for MotoGP 26! It looks like it’s coming to pretty much every platform – PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and both the current Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2. It’ll cost around €59.99 on PC, and €69.99 on PS5 and Xbox. The Switch versions will be a bit cheaper at €49.99. The good news is that the console versions will have physical copies, but it looks like PC gamers will only be able to get it digitally. We’re probably going to hear more about different versions of the game and any pre-order bonuses soon, and hopefully, they’ll confirm the release date of April 29th then too!
The previous game, MotoGP 25, was announced in February 2025 and released in late April. MotoGP 26 is being announced a little later this year, but we expect it to come out around the same time. Like MotoGP 25, the new game will feature the riders and tracks from the 2026 MotoGP season.
I’m really hoping the next game lets us do even more in training! It’d be awesome to just ride around for fun instead of always being in competition mode. I loved that MotoGP 25 let you practice skills on different types of bikes too – things like Motard, Flat Track, and Minibikes. It’d be great to see even more of that!
It’s still unclear if the Arcade Experience will be updated. Previously, it was designed to help new players get into the bike racing game by making it simpler and less realistic than the full version.
If you can’t wait until the end of April for a new motorcycle racing game, RIDE 6 is already available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game features a revamped career mode centered around RIDE Fest, a traveling festival that lets you choose the events you want to compete in.
I was excited to hear that even though RIDE 6 isn’t coming to Switch, Milestone promised it would run beautifully on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a smooth 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. They even said it would hit 4K at a super-fast 90 FPS on Xbox Series S! If you’re curious about all the new stuff they added and how it works under the hood, I’d recommend checking out the interview they did with the developers, and there’s also a really detailed tech breakdown of the PC and PS5 versions.
