Sony has decided to stop releasing its exclusive single-player games on PC and other platforms besides PlayStation, according to a recent report from Bloomberg.
After rumors suggested the company was scaling back its support for multiple platforms, a new report from Jason Schreier confirms that single-player games will now only be available on PlayStation consoles, like the PS5. While live service games, including Marathon and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, will still be released on other platforms, that will be the extent of their multi-platform support moving forward.
So, I just heard from some reliable sources that Ghost of Yotei and Saros, which is coming out next month, are still going to be PlayStation 5 exclusives. That means if you don’t have a PS5, you’re out of luck for playing them – at least for now!
As a PlayStation fan, I’ve been hearing a lot lately about what Sony’s up to, and it seems things are always in flux in the gaming world – plans can change on a dime! Recently, though, it’s become clear they’ve decided not to release games like Ghost of Yotei on PC after all, which is a bit of a bummer. It’s a reminder that what’s planned today might not happen tomorrow in this industry.
