Marvel is currently finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. It’s expected to be released later this year, with the next Avengers film, Secret Wars, planned for 2027.

Marvel has released four short previews for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. The source didn’t share specific details, but recently tweeted that there are strong ties between ‘DS:MOM’ and the ‘Doomsday’ project – and this connection goes beyond just the characters in the movie.

A source named MyTimeToShineHello responded to the news by downplaying the idea that the Doctor Strange movie will have a strong connection to the Doomsday storyline, simply stating, “I mean… not really.”

Currently, everything about the plot of Avengers: Doomsday is based on speculation. Marvel hasn’t released any official details, and it’s unclear how much, if anything, the movie will tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed Benedict Cumberbatch’s involvement, many fans anticipate he’ll appear in some form.
